appetite for NOODLES AND the STREET FOOD
BETWEEN the FAT AND NOTES he devoured
he found himself alone
and blowing the blues
he wears those DARK shades AT NIGHT 
to hold the loneliness inside
as he plays in the club underneath the Detroit Moon

HAIR AS RED AS THE ORANGES OF SICILY, 
her EYES AS BLUE AS the sea

SKIN AS WHITE AS THE SNOW ON THE ROOFTOPS
in the Detroit city
BEHIND the BAR SHE MOVED LIKE A CAT, 
KEPT TIME BY DRUMMING WITH HER LONG RED FINGERNAILS,

AND SHE SMOKED WITH HER EYES CLOSED WAITING FOR THE BUS 
AND FOR YEARS NEVER asked her, 
or FOUND THE COURAGE TO OFFER if she needed a RIDE
UNTIL that SNOWY NIGHT 
she was SHIVERING and needed a ride
murphy DROVE so SLOWLY AS IF HE NEVER WANTED TO ARRIVE
THE RADIO PLAYED CROAKING JAZZ TUNE
and SHE SAID "hey MURPHY HONEY YOU'RE much BETTER than this"
SHE LAID HER HEAD ON HIS SHOULDER AND FELL ASLEEP

AND AFTER A LONG TIME 
MURPHY SAW THE SUN AGAIN, 
A CHEMICAL SUNRISE UP IN THE SKY OF DETROIT
THEY ARRIVED HOME SHE MADE him BREAKFAST 
and ON HER PANCAKES SHE MADE A HEART,

Ah, dear listener! I present myself here with my good buddy Gary, rather sheepish and shamefaced at being absent from this church of sonic jewels for the longest time.  I have been a bad listener, I'm afraid.  Bereft of mojo, time and without my little studio. Mea culpa. 

If you've read this far, you already have a whiff of the legendary about you.

So one day, quite recently,  the Phaigester messages me and opens his raincoat to reveal a select library of stellar little ear-nuggets he's been hiding away. What beauties, I tell thee! What beauties!

Three grabbed me instantly..deep, swirling soundstrata, complex and intriguing in equal measure. 

Perched on my bed, yodelling into the abyss, I attempt to add to his painting.  Teleported into that great,  inkyblack wonderland of transcendent joy again.

Hats off to Gar. Inventive, musical and patient. Thanks for your art and resuscitating me.

 This is a song that Artur wrote in his unique, original, and signature surf rock style, and passed it on to Josh, as a gift. Josh added some bass, and, of course, had to get the rest of the Eclectic Collective involved, too. Ken came up with the energetic, driving beat, perfectly suited for the song. JJ added some really stunning, surfy organ and jamming electric piano. Tez added his signature inspired, powerful lead in the second part. Stephen added his dynamic guitar voice to the first half, and was kind, generous, patient, and talented enough to mix and produce the whole thing.
  I asked Artur the meaning of the song's title, and he told me that it refers to the soulmate some people find, who can carry you through anything, even if you or they may be a little crazy. It's about crazy love!
