Iridescence Main Theme

Spider Silk by Steven Archer

Pearl-studded filament,
dew-adorned, you float
like thread pinched
between expiring fingers,

which miss the needle’s eye.
You hung anchored
once, sturdy tether, tightrope
taut beneath your seamstress.
Someone’s wrecked the loom:

silver sewn and shorn
from its tapestry.
Aimless you contour
to the curves and currents
that outweigh you.

Where will you find
your fastenings?

Sea Poppies by Hildegard Doolittle

Amber husk
fluted with gold,
fruit on the sand
marked with a rich grain,

treasure
spilled near the shrub-pines
to bleach on the boulders:

your stalk has caught root
among wet pebbles
and drift flung by the sea
and grated shells
and split conch-shells.

Beautiful, wide-spread,
fire upon leaf,
what meadow yields
so fragrant a leaf
as your bright leaf?

Happy New Year! Once again, here's Auld Lang Syne in the style of Relient K, in the style of the Beach Boys.


I think at this point, I've done enough of these. Try comparing my first 5 years ago to now (https://soundcloud.com/peterdevita/auld-lang-syne) I remember that took me 3 full days of recording to put together while this time it only took me a couple hours (while using most of my mixing/mastering settings from last year).
