Featuring two tracks ‘Conjure Dreams’ and ‘Conjure Floyd’, both are peak time monsters that introduce two very different elements. ‘Conjure Dreams’ utilises a groovy, melodic bass that is reinforced using tight thumping drums to shatter any dance floor into the universe. ‘Conjure Floyd’ builds into a more ‘heads down’ techno vibe with a very interesting breakdown. Although Andreas Quiring and Frederik Laaser, better known as The Reason Y, are already main stays in the Berlin scene, it's our great pleasure to present them to the world as the most recent additions to the Second State roster with their stunning debut EP; 'Hide and Seek'.

Over the course of three superb tracks we dive deep into the heart of Planet TRY and explore a world ripe with stunning colors, rich textures and an abundance of life. It begins with the aptly named title track 'Hide and Seek' which takes place somewhere in a dark cavernous grotto as a light flickers in the distance. As you move closer the light grows brighter but without warning quickly vanishes leaving you lost and wondering. The light flickers again and the chase continues only to end the same way it began again and again.

If 'Hide and Seek' is a game in the dark depths than the next track 'Sumatra' is a ride through the rain soaked jungle under the full moon. While faint sounds of howls and mating calls echo between mud soaked footsteps, drops of liquid bounce off your skin creating an orchestra of organic enlightenment.

The final experience on Planet The Reason Y is 'SXF' and it's a farewell to the world just discovered. Glimmers of shape and color slowly come together to reveal the bigger picture; a floating gem amidst the backdrop of infinite space as the new world is departed. As speed increases and distance grows the once overwhelming new world new turns to a tiny pebble and slowly retreats into the pitch black leaving only the warm ambience brought on by new journeys. In the words of Hunter S. Thompson: "Buy the ticket, take the ride." and experience life on the planet of The Reason Y.

For our final record of the year, we turn to Glasgow's man of the year - Denis Sulta.

Like a good chunk of the Numbers family, he has earnt his stripes working at the coalface of techno aka Rubadub. He has crafted two excellent twelves for our bare-chested cousins at Dixon Avenue Basement Jams and is beginning to carve himself out a reputation as a DJ of some repute, expertly blending in the bangers with Sulta-certified weirdness. Denis is part of a new wave of Glaswegian artists who are doing amazing things and whose music is continuously exciting us.

‘It’s Only Real’ created by Sulta during a burst of inspiration one Sunday, takes us back to a time when techno was intricately melodic but still kicked hard in the club. Made with only the purest of intentions and a dedication to the art of moving heads and feet.

For FM100 something special.  Sixty-four minutes of acid from the #1 acid label in the USA, Drop Bass Network.  This was recorded in 2014 for a special DBN anniversary show of Fucked Up which never happened, and has been unreleased until now.  I experimented heavily with Traktor remix sets in this set, there are lots of samples from various tracks that were rearranged live.

Michal's passion for techno music started playing with vinyls. The heavy sounds extracted from the black plastic disc inspired him to do more, to go a step further and create his own music. Since then he experimented with a lot of genres of electronic music, to find his own path. He sought inspiration in crowded cities and the correlation of nature with industrialized society. Today, his performances are consisting entirely of the original productions, where you will find a rich mixture of dense industrial atmosphere, off beats sounds and dub techno elements driven by energetic kick.
2017 was a really productive year for Michał since he released three EPs: 'Synister Mistery' EP on Animal Farm, 'Chimaera' EP Secret Keywords, and 'Outer Heaven' EP on Newrhythmic records.
Michal Jablonski's career is growing very fast and has been given a lot of recognition to by being invited to perform at many famed clubs not only in Europe Tresor Berlin, Griessmuehle, Arena Club or Gare Porto but also in Georgian KHIDI.
This podcast is very unusual because it's Michal's first recorded DJ set ever which contains tracks from big names in such as: Headless Horseman, Tommy Four Seven, Oscar Mulero (oficial), VSK, Reeko, and Bas Mooy.

He started out in NYC working at Instinct Records (Moby, Prototype 909), Intergroove US (Plastic City, Noom, Time Unlimited, Audio, Tortured, Molecular, Le Petit Prince, Stay Up Forever, Cluster, to name a few), and BML (Digital Empire, In the Mix Series, Hyperspace, Digital Hut, Thurst, Beatsmart, Wide Awake, and Transmissions).  

In addition to the label and distribution work, Henry was a contributing member of Uptown Underground in NYC, who were responsible for some of the largest raves in NY in the 90’s. Their legendary Monkey parties at the Roseland Ballroom showcased the worlds finest talent including Adam Beyer, DJ Misjah and Tim, Cari Lekebusch, Billy Nasty, Mistress Barbara, Commander Tom, DJ T-1000, Nostrum, Paul Johnson, Robert Armani, Steve Pointdexter, Bad Boy Bill, The Horrorist, and so many more. 

Henry was also one of Massive Magazine's Operatives in NY, providing content from Artist and DJ interviews to record reviews of new vinyl and cd releases hitting the streets.  Henry has released his own music on labels such as Contrast UK, Downside Up, Thurst, X-Sight, and through a variety of compilations released by K-Tel's Coldfront series, In the Mix.  

As of the last 3 years, Henry has primarily focused on Live PA's vs. DJing.  It is the next chapter of his musical journey and the evolution of his sound.

Peter Fern, a person who is and will be always associated with Szczecin techno music scene. Throughout the time, he became a known DJ, producer and sound engineer. His adventure with techno music began in legendary Lokomotiv club in Szczecin. One of the fewest Polish artists who performed at events such as Love Parade, Mayday, Global Gathering or Soundtropolis.
His music is supported by some of the best DJs of the techno genre, and his tracks as well as remixes are played across different countries.Moreover his last EP "THe Underground Resistance"  smashed up top 100 hard techno beatport chart.
