Netherlands' Niels Broos and London's Hyroglifics have teamed up for the collaborative project Rippps (@rippps), unleashing their debut EP "Hue" on Alpha Pup Records (@alphapup), August 3, 2018. 

Five tracks of futuristic electronic music that blends stylistic synths and dynamic production work, "Hue" is equal parts unique, striking, and propulsive. The grooves are nonstop, and the electricity is boundless, giving the album a distinct vibe that further establishes their legacy in modern music. 

'Pose' comes blazing out of the gate right from the start, with bent and tweaked electronics running all over the map in perfect harmony. Rippps draws styles from anywhere and everywhere - Jazz, Beats, Funk, Electronic Dance and everything in between. Although quirky and off-kilter, the duo clearly has a firm grasp on their instruments and musical knowledge making their forthcoming "Hue" EP more and more enjoyable with each listen.

Recorded and shaped over the last two years, Rippps began when they met through their selection at Red Bull Music Academy Montreal 2016. The artwork on the "Hue EP" was also a result of the time they shared together at RBMA. Julian Mayorga and his wife Marta Orozco Villarrubia completed the artwork (their artist name for reference is: Poetas Menores)

Graphic designer by day, DJ by night. In both these areas, music is Peter’s biggest source of inspiration. Love for the groove got him his pseudonym Peter Groovin, no matter the genre. His sets can be described as a blend of disco, boogie, house, afro, tropical, funk, rare groove, and beyond, all connected by the groove. 

With the rise of the internet, the mp3-player and the introduction of software like iTunes, Peter’s interest in music was fuelled from all sides. Being a teenage boy his ever ongoing musical journey went from hiphop, to triphop and turntablism into more abstract genres like jazz and idm and so on. Later in life, when introduced to the Rotterdam nightlife, his interest in disco, house and related dance music was growing evermore. However still enjoying abstract and deep music, it was the simplicity, warmth, rhythm and soulfulness in black dance music that really touched him and opened a new world.

He started djing at some friends place, just for fun. But this playing around soon escalated in going from houseparty to houseparty and from birthday to birthday. Till the point that the club-owner of Bird Rotterdam spotted his talent. He invited Peter to play at the club. This way Peter started making name as a club-dj and at the same time making progress in the craft of djing and organising events. In his spare-time he learned to dj with vinyl at the (no longer existing) store of Triphouse Rotterdam. With the establishment of Operator Radio he began his own radioshow called rhythm of life.
 
In the last couple of years he played at events alongside names as Antal, The Blessed Madonna, Jamie 3:26,  Esa, Awesome Tapes From Africa, Sassy J, Mafalda, Dane, Philou Louzolo and many other inspiring artists.
