Welcome to the review copy of DateMonthYear’s fifth album! This collection we have decided to self-title, as it is very much a summary statement of the last five years of our work. It's a distinctive musical construction, made by unique individuals under very interesting circumstances.                           
     The team: Emma Korez( vocals), Brooke Baker ( Guitar, keyboards, vocals), Tyler Leet (guitar) , Hayley Schwass (bass) with percussionist Trevor Faville on production duties and the highly skilled Scott Newth for engineering and mixing. Mastering was done by Chris Chetland at Kog.
   The venue: Hamilton’s top recording studio ‘The Porch”. 
   The songs: They  cover a wide sonic and dynamic range, the acoustic menace of ‘Numbers’ through the straight up rock of ‘Flowers’ and onwards to the epic rock of ‘March’ and finishing with the epic sonic adventures of ‘South’.It is quite an intense album, and all the songs were written to go together in this way.
 The lyrics:DateMonthYear puts much stock in lyrical content, and the songs in this album are dense, complicated stories; try some of these examples- ands listen for them as you go through.
 Numbers: “when you're dancing with Machiavelli's ghost”
. Flowers: “and we/ were raised/ to be/ the Flowers of an empire’”

Exodus “ we signed/ the fine line/ on the terms of your surrender”

 Icarus “ wherever you go, I’m following/ as high as you are/gravity always brings you down”
March “Wrote a letter to God/ about nothing personal/ and if it's nothing personal/ then it's nothing at all” 
South “Awake/ it’s finally over/ what were we thinking of” 

The summary: DateMonthYear music  is cinematic story-telling with many levels of understanding, created with an independent artistic and marketing methodology. We hope you find something of value in it!

Recorded in Tokyo and New York, two of my favourite and most inspirational places (to me), Sunflower comprises 4 tracks which are a stand alone project, but an introduction to the debut Mall Grab album slated for a late 2020 release.

For CARAVEL's first solo EP, she wanted to combine all her inspirations in 3 different tracks:

Acid, industrial, drums.

She's very attached to powerful kicks and wanted it to be the main part of this piece.
This Ep is the result of what she achieved through those years, it's a mark of her evolution since her first gig as well as the evolution of her influences. 
During the production she wanted to prove to herself and to the scene her skills as a female artist.
