The Long Voyage Home - part of the reworked cinematic musical suite based on my original theatrical Cirque style show: Regalia - The Enchanted Forest, which was initially performed at the Bali Safari and Marine Park in 2011. The new ethnic infused World music score has been crafted around sophisticated and powerful hybrid orchestral compositions by my friends at Anthology Records.

These two video clips depict the opening scenes of the story as a prelude / backstory. It tells the tale of our heroes (two Final War survivors in a post-apocalyptic surrounding) on their strenuous and dangerous voyage to a magical place - Regalia - The Enchanted Forest.

A melodic ethnic flavored soundscape with a pensive pulse, which becomes increasingly more anxious and powerful toward the end with off-set percussive elements and off-beat /syncopated orchestral SFX.

The mourning violins and the female vocal lament (separately first and then as call / response) create an atmosphere of sadness - anguish and pain of war. The ending briefly highlights the battle and then just evaporates ... into history, or?

Those recited by David are verses from one of the most famous poems and one of the greatest Italian poets of the 20th century (Eugenio Montale). They are taken from the collection entitled ‘Ossi di seppia’ ('The bones of cuttlefish'), published in Italy in 1925, and several times translated into English (alone or together with other works by Montale).
Many thanks to David (@david-dunhamuser589535203), who agreed to collaborate on this little creation, also adding his refined guitar phrasing. All the (usual) imperfections are mine.

The Immutable Symbol

Inspiration

The photo is from this evening. I've been waiting for my New Grange moment. Another. 5 -7 days and the sun should set centered on this path. I love following the position of the Sun relative to us and teaching the kids the movement of the spheres as best as possible. They should be able to imagine their size and the vast distances well better then my generation given they are getting that more learned perspective way earlier then most did when I was their age
 This limited perspective we have says a lot for me. We can't imagine or be at one with things we don't fully see and are able to qualify it's size or what it is visually. Climate change!

On the subject of light.. Physically I think if we're going to worship anything maybe that should be the Sun. We were all once that dust!

Inner light for me is the empowerment of your spirit and the darkness the negativity that challenges that...

I suspose negativity is ALL mind in a way... and that inner light is at the very least a brilliant meditative focus to control the flow of positive and negative thought.... How that translates to our greater beings... 🤷🏽‍♂️ But it's fascinating and cool and for me it works wonders for my mindset 🙃

Here's what I do...
If a negative thought comes I say to myself... release that back to the light for the whole universe and that's it...

The result is I feel I control negative thought quite well for myself. Whether that is just a physical  placebo effect for me or whether or not that intention is making me more balanced I'm not entirely sure but for me it works. I personally believe that in the future when we understand intention/consciousness and it's effect on physical reality... we may be able to use it to whatever unknown states of being and more 'peace' of mind

Imagine we all did that... There'd be no arguments 😆 Or only good ones


I heard an interesting thing on the radio yesterday where a brain expert mentioned in order for your brain to work at optimal level you need to stop thinking. He stressed that this has to be during waking hours as well as the additional rewiring and balancing we get with sleep. Apparently memory retention and healthy thought cross referencing only happens when we switch off as much of the controlled thought as possible. Just thought I'd share that as it's science pointing towards meditation for a better healthy mind. The example they used was the shower... The noise and running water acts like a white noise and it can be an easy place to switch off.. That's why, from my experience, I wish I had a pen in the shower as I always get eurekas haha...

 Mental health is something that is always tough so the more people that fix themselves the easier that should get in society I suppose.... I definitely don't do it enough haha But I will after hearing the brain guy 🫶🏽

Lastly... Social media has made most portray this false reality of themselves. We need to be ok with failing and supporting each other in both that and success. The more of us that project our real selves the easier it will be for people to find there own peace of mind. Observing the world, showing the way passively and peacefully. Sounds well good to me
