Born in Hastings, Mark is a secretive DJ and once early 90's Rave promoter of some repute. His love of music has dominated his whole life since listening to his mother’s constant flow of eclectic DISCO records and spending his every weekend being bombarded with boogie funk at the local YMCA Roller Skating Rink in the late 70s.

Then following synthesiser music as a kid wanna-be New Romantic against the Skin Head trend of the time he continued on into the robotic sounds of MAGIC FLY, JEAN MICHELE JARRE and KRAFTWERK.  

Finally hitting his teens as an 80's B-BOY when he bought his first 6 inch record being Whodini's MAGICS WAND,  and getting exposed to the sound track of the indie movie BREAKDANCE......finally got him hooked on music for dancing.

Always remaining open minded of genre as long as it was electronic based in production and had drive in the rhythm section, he collected it. 

Following the adolescent years of local Night clubbing a fateful trip to LONDON's Camden Palace changed everything as he had stumbled into the ACID HOUSE scene.

By the age of 26, Mark had the acclaim of the scene for his own long running club nights across the south of England, such as RIPE, PLEASURE, ULTRA EGO and later on STEREO-STARS to name a few as well as a rap-sheet as long as your arm of free raves such as GORGEOUS, yet only ever DJing himself at the private after parties.

He is back on the DECKS in the guise of BOOGIETEQUE ELECTRONICA and scheming.

Having spent the last ten years restocking his music collection, he is now cultivating his sound with the music from the time when DISCO got Blown Up and the pre booked studio time allowed amazing musicians and producers to collaborate more freely knowing there were no record deal pay outs or air time to be had, so just conscientiously used the studio time to produce pure emotive electronic BOOGIE music and other imaginative mix down tracks that sound current again today. 

His New mixes, Archive music and Live Recorded sets will be uploaded along the way.

While planning to collaborate with the friends he made and the DJ Artists he promoted in the Music Industry....... to DJ to dance-floors again and do some Re-editing ..... he is going to start putting into place a new concept Dance Music Event in the coming future.....

Katoff is a melodic and progressive DJ/producer known for crafting emotionally rich and deeply rhythmic electronic music. Blending hypnotic grooves with cinematic storytelling, his sound fuses the essence of Melodic House, Techno, and Progressive House.

His journey began in 1998 behind the decks at clubs in Riga, Latvia, before relocating to the UK. In 2017, he reignited his passion for production and began shaping a signature sound—equal parts atmospheric, driving, and melodic.

With releases on respected labels and airplay on BBC Radio and international stations, Katoff continues to push boundaries. He is also the founder of Sounds Of Meow, a boutique label focused on emotive dance music.
