This is the song that a group of Sydneysiders spontaneously wrote and sang for The Human Sound Project at Vivid Sydney.

We heard stories of Sydney's dual nature as a place of freedom and natural beauty as well as isolation and struggle, which formed the lyrics and the chorus "We're free on our island".
