Get Up, Stand Up, Die.

Peter Vine-Chisholm is a British singer-songwriter from Cornwall now based in his own studio on the South Coast (UK). 

His writing first rose to prominence with the cult UK rock duo The Sea, as the songwriter, vocalist and ‘frontman’. Between 2008 and 2014 he played over 1000 gigs in 15+ countries on 3 world tours and has played many festivals including; SXSW, CMJ, Glastonbury, Boardmasters, Reeperbahn, Eurosonic, M for Montreal, and Camden Crawl. He’s supported and toured with; Muse, James Morrison, The Kills, The Enemy and many, many more.

During this period he released 3 studio albums and has been top 5 in the charts. 

Peter’s songs have been critically acclaimed throughout the world’s music press, achieving: single and album of the week(and or month) in The Guardian, The Fly, Kerrang (‘Top 10 Chart’ twice) and CMJ Magazine as well as other rave reviews in: The New York Times, Spex, Uncle Sally’s, NME, Die Music, The Times, The Independent and dozens more. 

He has received solid rotation on many of the European major radio stations, CMJ College Radios (USA) as well as BBC Radio One and Two in the UK.

His music also attracted the attention of the fashion world when renowned designer Zandra Rhodes created outfits specifically for The Sea’s appearance at the CMJ festival in New York.

Peter’s songs feature on a vast array of different TV shows, films and adverts, past highlights include: Warner Brothers (film), BBC 1, Channel 4, Channel 5, MTV and Canal + in every corner of the globe from Japan to Australia and El Salvador to Spain.

Since 2015 Peter has not only been working on his new solo project ‘LIVES’ but also with several different artists and clients as a bespoke songwriter, vocalist and topliner, including: James Morrison, Bob Geldof, Sony BMG, Jazzmonk, Pete Briquette (producer), John Cornfield (producer) and DJ Heckle.

Peter’s first and foremost genre is Rock but he is also very proficient in Pop and ‘Piano Balladry’ and is accomplished in Guitar, Piano and Vocals.
