"Flower Beat began as a challenge to myself to make a track that was pure percussion, unlike most of my tunes which rely heavily on harmony and melody. I'm happy that some folks have taken a liking to it, and that two good friends of mine were happy to remix it. Mooves mangled and repurposed the original sounds into something sparse and tense, and https://soundcloud.com/truekey flipped the track entirely on its head by (funnily enough) giving it a strong sense of harmony and melody, even adding his own vocals. To complete the release, I pulled an older, similarly percussion-focused WIP from the archives and fleshed it out into "Tricks," a dark track that's also unlike many other tunes I've made.”
