Tiny Phillips are a six piece indie, rock, pop mashup who's music "Is the future" (Peter Hook), "Sets the bar for modern indie" (Manc Review)

Tiny Phillips met on joinmyband.co.uk in 2011 where guitarist Nick, having written a bunch of instrumental tracks in his home studio, posted an ad for a singer/lyricist. Singer Pete responded and the pair set up shop as a writing partnership. 
The rest of the band joined in, bringing with them stories that connected the dots between Manchester's music giants. You learn to play on Peter Hook's bass when your mate's dad is a music legend. You learn the same three chords as Noel Gallagher did, when you're taught by the same guy. Spinning tunes in local clubs with Clint Boon from Inspiral Carpets gives you a musical education that is distinctly Mancunian.
The plan was to create throbbing, dancey indie with a dark, sweeping, electronic edge. Sing in your own accent. Take a little from Interpol, Foals, Editors and Minus the Bear and borrow a little from vintage bands like The Smiths, The Cure and Depeche Mode.

Going in at the deep end, their first gig was to play for BBC Introducing in Manchester. Deeper still, a tour with Peter Hook and The Light followed in the spring of 2013. The years highlight was their 3,000 strong audience for their support slot with The Saturdays. 
In late 2013 Tiny Phillips went in the studio with London based producers The Animal Farm to record a string of singles for release on The Animal Farm label. The campaign kicks off with the physical release of a limited edition EP of the singles in 2014.
