Our guest is Michal Jablonski from Poland, one of the most active artists in a more and more prolific polish scene. His releases on Counterpulse and Circular LTD has definitely piqued our interest lately and embodies our ambiguous love for both deep and powerful techno. He is also a member of the SLAP collective, who build constantly the most relevant line-ups in the country. His live act has opened the floor for the likes of Answer code request, Etapp Kyle or SNTS. Ahead of his appearance for On the 5th Day this coming weekend, we're delighted to bring you an exclusive interview and podcast (DJ set) from Poland's much cherished Michal Jablonski.

You've most likely noticed that Jablonski has been making some powerful waves on both the Polish and international techno scenes of late; waves formed of relentless energy, personality, punch and fearlessness - a pretty effective combo if you ask us! As an artist who has until recently focused on live performances mostly formed of entirely original productions, we’re super excited to hear how he jells together a hybrid set, ensuring the Jablonski flair the techno world is coming to love so much is woven throughout, ready to engulf room two revellers and take them on a mighty ride.​ Word on the street is that he has something pretty special in store for us!

What Michal conveys in his sets is also communicated through a library of serious, no messing about productions which we definitely recommend exploring, often with an industrial twist and heftier, mean underlying backbone which we've definitely found ourselves hooked on (released on the likes of New Rhythmic Records, Circular Limited and Sonntag Morgan, amongst others).

As if being inspired by Michal’s musical prowess wasn’t enough, getting to know artists like him is another one of the beautiful perks of what we do and so it gives us huge pleasure to be welcoming him and sharing this podcast and interview with you. This personal, heartfelt insight into Jablonski's world and the music he loves so much is the perfect stimulation for the body and mind and his recorded DJ set will no doubt leave you gagging for the weekend and what's in store for us.

Spaced out melodica is accompanied by haunting vocals, as ‘Lonesome Ghost’ draws the listener back to the extra-galactic centre of the techno universe. Mildly turbulent, the track builds and releases with nebulous form, leaving stars in your eyes.

Reach cruising altitude with the mellifluous ‘Moonjockey.’ This euphonious long-player is punctuated with elevated kicks, stirring up a cosmic aural storm which will have you kicking up dust on the dancefloor.

Earwax is one of these young and talented artists.
Italian born, He has released up on different labels, including A R T S, Planet Rhythm and Pushmaster Discs.

Grew up with music, firstly as DJ and then as Producer, he moved the first steps on the techno and house scene, driven by his love for the groove and vinyls.
After many releases as Domenico Petrosino, he created a new music project (Earwax) focused on representing the vibes of the old-school Techno with modern freshest sounds.

His last release "Attraverso EP", wich appeared on Planet Rythm, is a fucking bomb. It's such a pleasure for us to make you listen one of his podcast today.

BIO:

Francesco Visconti, better known as VSK, is an Italian techno dj and producer, born in Rome in 1986 and based in Berlin. Since his earliest youth he has had a huge passion for electronic music, and through hanging out at the famous record store from the Capital “Remix”, he was introduced to the world of djing when he wa only 16 years old.
He has got familiar to different forms of techno, his style ranging from a sound usually very hard and dark, often with industrial influences, to a very different one, deeper and more mental, both still easily recognizable as coming from the same mind.
He started to perform very early as a dj in the clubs of the Capital and from 2007 he was resident dj at Goa Club for two seasons.
At the same time he met the artist Ken Karter, who introduced him to the world of production and mastering. He began an education as an audio-engineer and sound-designer, in music and especially in television, working in different recording studios; currently he does this alongside his artistic career.
In 2010 he and his friends Conrad Van Orton and Vilix started their own label “Consumer Recreation Service”, which got immediate support from big names in the international techno scene.
Over the years he has relesed EPs on many other important labels such as 47, Mord, New Rhythmics, Planet Rhythm, Ear To Ground, Sonntag Morgen, Complex Adaptive System and Genesa. He works with many recognized artists. He performed and released with Scalamariya, which resulted in releases on Perc Trax. He released an EP with Giorgio Gigli on Planet Rhythm, collaborates with CVO, creating Symmetrical Behavior duo and publishing on Soma Records, as well as playing live act with Polish producer Michal Jablonski.

Last year, VSK established his own imprint - VSK Series - with VA of Kwartz, Ansome, Flaminia and his collabo with Michal Jablonski.

Petra.P is czech dj from Jablonec nad Nisou. She started playing 5 years back.  She building her name with quality music and unique tracks selection. Her industrial, dark and experimental techno gain popularity among fans around the country  and her sound is more and more often to hear in clubs and radios in the Czech Republic and elsewhere in Europe. Beside music, Petra's big passion is painting space themed canvas  pictures by name Kosmi.
