Reflections presents the second instalment of their new various artists EP series with ‘Reflections 02’, welcoming a new wave of ambient and downtempo talent to the Anjunafamily roster.

Opening ‘Reflections 02’ is Paris-based producer Douran with a beat-less cinematic revision of his 2021 Anjunadeep release ‘Passing Lights’, followed by classically-trained composer Stelios Vassiloudis with ‘Nowhere To Go’. Next up, British producer Simon Shackleton presents a new low-tempo rework of his track ‘Traumstaat’, having seen initial release on ‘Anjunadeep 13’ earlier this year.

Another familiar face to the Anjuna roster, Igor Garanin makes his Reflections debut with an original production, ‘Daydreams’. Rounding off the packaging is US-based ambient producer Ann Annie, showcasing their flair for soft ambient productions through modulated synths and signature tape manipulated sounds with ‘Moons Apart’ (Reprise). Closing the EP is Dutch classical composer and producer Brombaer, with an ethereal original composition ‘Desert Stars’.

Ostinato

Pêtr Aleksänder create a considered sound, controlled in it’s execution, by way of purposefully limiting the instruments at their disposal to piano and strings, but never at the expense of the raw, emotional impact that a simple yet incisive sound can deliver. Early recordings such as Sans Souci quickly caught the attention of streaming services, the wider public and in turn, renowned indie label Nettwerk, who offered the band a record deal which was signed in December 2017. The band released a music video for “Bells” in September 2017, featuring aspiring dancer Jacob Lang, a finalist in the contemporary dance category of BBC Young Dancer 2017. A support tour with Norwegian singer Susanne Sundfør in October 2017 saw the band perform across the UK and in Sweden. The live show consisted of the looping of various instruments and the re-imagining of arrangements, all before a backdrop of visuals created by the band themselves. The band are working on the debut album, to be released in 2018.
