looking on the bright side of life

modern day

photos are memories I keep within my mind
stored in the basement in a crate I’ll never find
songs are the stories and the places I have been
authored before this mental knot I’m tangled in

modern day is here to stay
and all that was will fade away
heavens rain and hell will pay
our eyes are wet with tears

poets and prophets weave our words into their art
read in dramatic mien and spoken from their heart  
unseal the parchment let the words escape their cage
left with a book with seven hundred empty page

styles we made are old and frayed 
where all the past is filed away
a quill, a pen I’ll write the end
the sky is wet with ink

modern day is here to stay
and all that was will fade away

SO...It has been almost a year since I have thought about playing any music,
and have barely even visited SoundCloud in the interim.

Indeed, it has been that long since entertaining any diversions at all,
as I have been engaged with serious health issues concerning my son.
After a lengthy hospital stay with an aggressive infection,
resulting in pneumonia and requiring surgery,
he is finally to the point to where he is strong enough to stand
and take a few brief steps.

So, I have only recently allowed myself enough space to contemplate music
...at least for a brief spell, or so long as it can last.


Here are simply a random collection of instruments
and the suggestions they evoked for me upon hearing them.

Evening Meditation

Need a break? Get way from the hustle bustle, take five minutes of music to unwind. Relax, chill-out and meditate with ambient, improvised, bluesy laid back electric piano track, by a cool babbling stream. Calming, peace and thoughtful happiness with a dash of melancholy.

Electro Industrial in F#m Chord Progression, Intro redefined with new dynamics, Pure electronic clarity mastering, new instruments added to keep more interesting, and to push the unique mixing envelope further, vocals strengthening, new dynamics, more interesting ending, I think this pushes the piece to its furthest boundaries, hope you like it, I hope I have created a industrial masterpiece!!!
