Tendresse deep aux influences house, Melancolie coldwave foudroyée par la Techno en passant par l'italo pop synthétique, la compilation propose un voyage au coeur d'une photographie non exhaustive de la création électronique sur l'île de Beauté.

Kronikos Pt. 1 was released on Good Skills in summer of 2021 and was well received by weird electronica fans across the globe. Things really kicked off for Karolis after this. It’s time for world to hear the second part of this mysterious debut release, described by author as 'world news show, where each song represents a different story'. “Atomik Bomb” is a testament of Shkema’s German skills. Title of the track, written and produced in 2018, sounds a little risky considering nowadays geopolitical context, but rules are simple - you can’t take a lyric out of a track. Some serious bass line action here, you must check it out.
“Singapūras” is a tribute to the country Shkema has never been to. Massive flute solo, wonderful percussion section and a dream to go there one day. Disco Mortale (previously known as Daniel Monaco) delivered an Italian bass slapping boogie version of “Atomik Bomb”. Proper 80s vibe, perfect for a ride in Miami, driving a red
Testarossa. Last but not least in the saga of “Kronikos” is a refix from Mexican duo Theus Mago & Moisees. These guys know what they are doing, this track is perfect for times when dance floor needs some fresh energy.

Roe Deers’ debut full-length album “Salt Town Boy” ﬁlled with dusky moods and punk attitude was released last November on Good Skills. Unique storytelling vocal contributors from all over the world and six years of Deers’ work in the studio was mixed into unique left ﬁeld collection. Now we get a collection of remixes, featuring this killer cut from Eden Burns. 

@djedenburns went for “Trident (feat. C. A. R.) and turned the dubby original into an early morning danceﬂoor hit. Filled with smiles and positive vibes, his remix is perfect for sunrise in Nida.

Bienvenue Beton! A brand-new act making his debut on Pets with two raw, straight-to- the-floor slabs of gritty technoid machine funk. Little is known about him besides the fact hes from Belgium, hes clearly a graduate of the Hardfloor school of knocks, hes invested in some serious analogue gear and he knows his way around a kick-ass groove. Grainy, full-fat 808 funk delivered with no frills or bells or unnecessary detail, Bruxelles pays homage to the citys visceral new beat and EBM roots but with contemporary muscle and a titanium jacking groove almost Wink-like hypnosis to the acid as it strips back. Voice 64 continues this theme of stark leftfield savagery with a simple pounding kick, a distorted decaying bassline and a cannon-like riff that builds on itself, encouraging the snare-rattled percussion to do the same. Its primal tendrils brought together with a laugh so demonic it could make the devil blush, once again its another physical, concentrated piece of frank, honest techno. One brand new artist, two stone cold constructions, you can bet on Beton appearing on Pets again in the near future.

RnT welcomes upstart Londoner Cody Currie into the roster with the groove-heavy Movin’ Smoke EP. A precociously well-developed production talent, the young producer puts his penchant for deep house sample-scapes on full display here. From the blissful lilt of the title track to the creatively crafted jazz funk of "Infinity I & II" through the b-side bangers "Make Love" and "Magic City," this record is a beautiful listen and play from beginning to end.

Those who were inspired by the rise of nu-disco throughout the 2000s should already own a fair few AN-2 records or remixes. The Theomatic label founder was prolific throughout the last decade, but all but vanished from view around 2011. This is his first EP for six years, and sees him join forces with old pal Samos, whose last release landed almost a decade ago. Opener "Nomad" is probably the EP's standout track, featuring as it does a brilliant blend of chugging Italo-disco bottom end, psychedelic acid lines, dreamy chords and mind-altering Greek style instrumentation. That said, we're also big fans of rubbery, P-funk influenced electro excursion "Gran Turismo", while slow motion closer "Cold Front" is a prize chunk of trippy, dubbed-out Balearic disco.
