With their love of good house and techno brimming over with each release, every day is Valentine’s Day at Pets HQ. So when Black Loops sent them ‘4 The Lovers’ the label cats (and dogs) knew it would be a perfect fit for a debut. With its walking bassline, dreamy flurries and sultry spoken word, ‘4 The Lovers’ melts the stoniest of hearts and sets the scene for the sweet soiree that follows…
‘Where My Girls At’ continues the racy theme as the Italians-in-Berlin who’ve been building a smouldering reputation for the last four years on labels such as Toy Tonics, Neovinyl and Gruuv lay down a persistent kickdrum smooth talk, thumping and bumping as the swooning filtered pads add layers of allure. ‘Blomst’, meanwhile flutters its come-to-bed eyes with hip-rattling percussive scratches, a plucked bouncy bassline and blushing chords that climax in style. 
Finally we find true romance with ‘Soulsista’. The sonic soulmate you never knew you needed, its deep dubby bassline slinks and purrs over jacking Chicago-style beats and cosmic weaves, bubbles and vapour trails wisp and whirr somewhere above you on cloud nine. 
Four slices of pristine, pure positivity. We guarantee your own love of good house and techno will be brimming over by the time you’ve finished listening. Beautiful.

PIV Records turns up the heat with their first collaboration EP by Prunk and Chris Stussy on the label.

The first cut "Tunnelvision" kicks off with a bassline that rolls like a '67 Mustang, while smooth vocal cuts and very orientated percussion sounds drive through your soul. With "Polar" they go deeper, combining hard kicks, dirty swinging snares and hi hats. This track borrows some influence from the late 90s.

Title track "Brooklyn Tears" is made for creating epic moments on the dancefloor and will definitely take you to higher places. As a special treat on this vinyl release, they have made a special dub version for the vinyl heads. The dub track is deep, perfect for the early warm up vibes but will add action to the dancefloor.

Last but not least it's "That Groove" that finishes this EP, the long-awaited club track everyone has been waiting for, just for the digital DJ's amongst us.

4Lux are a highly respectable record label based out of Rotterdam, Netherlands. Well known for their expertise in house & downtempo electronica, they have developed somewhat of a unique sound. Started by Gert-Jan Bij (or others may know him as Gerd) back in the early 2002 4Lux have had some impressive artists on the books; L’Atelier, Roman Rauch and Alex Agore to name a few. Black and white are two of the sub label series ran by the outfit, both unique as each other.

Born in Oberhausen, Germany, Kevin Over (soundcloud ) is another in a long list of great electronic music talent to come out of the country. He’s no stranger to the dusky grasp of deep house, making him a perfect fit for a release on the notorious 4Lux. Without further ado, we have the pleasure of bringing to you today a beautifully produced piece of music from Kevin Over called Coop. Taken from his latest EP “A G’s Last Dance” on 4LUX1801D this record perfectly rounds off another amazing release by the German. Like many of Kevin’s tracks, Coop takes you on a musical journey with its bold euphoric sounds making themselves known. Lush pads, keys and strings are combined to fabricate something very special, yet each unique and varied in their own way to make the other elements come to life. A track that will make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, grab a copy of this EP today.
