Born and raised in Detroit but now residing in London, Demi Riquísimo is building a dedicated following and catching the eye of many big-name tastemakers. His distinctive sound, an eclectic beast of acid, disco and italo influence, has gained him wide acclaim across several releases on his own Semi Delicious label.

Divine Reality EP is Riquísimo’s first outing with Shall Not Fade, on the established Lost Palms series. It’s a headsy affair, opening up with the title track and its driving beat, which pairs well with the blissed out and glimmering pads. You can feel the disco influence on ‘Local Chain’, all subtle strings and pops of guitar over the muted house rhythm that gets feet moving. High-octane B1 ‘This is The Limit’ is an acid roller with clever use of diva vocal samples, maximalist and infectious. The EP closes on ‘Green Machine’, a percussive track that lifts from sound palettes of the 1980s in dramatic and melancholic synth melodies that are completely danceable - a climactic number with instant appeal.

Premiere: Demi Riquisimo 'Green Machine'

Joyce Muniz crafts finely tuned electronic arrangements with laser precise sound design, the Brazilian born artist has been a fixture within the Viennese club scene since the 90s. Having released on esteemed labels including Permanent Vacation, Desert Hearts, Get Physical, Exploited, Pokerflat and Gigolo, her latest endeavour sees an awaited return to PETS Recordings. Her 'Flashes On The Floor' EP champions the future-facing house sound Joyce is revered for, fit for strobe-stricken nightclubs and colossal warehouses.

'Mindcraft' sets the tone with arpeggiator patterns intertwined with vocal processions, the energetic vibe of the track is enforced by a low-jacking bassline and fiercely driving drums. The choir-like synth occupying the breakdown provides an unmatched atmosphere, almost cinematic with its use of space. Title track 'Flashes On The Floor' bubbles to the surface with an ensemble of synths and robotic voice sampling, the extremely slick sound design gone into this track feels razor sharp and elegant. The track's main body reminiscent of classic Detroit electro, the perfect mix of futuristic aesthetic with respectful odes toward the long-established pillars of dance music.

'Friends & Benefits' is a brand-new collaboration track with Chicago's Alinka, a good friend of Joyce's, they've previously worked together on Permanent Vacation. The track explores deep tonal frequencies, minimal in its nature, the warping introduction of charged-up arpeggio melodies guides the latter end of the arrangement through glowing landscapes of distant analog synthesisers and rolling kicks drums. Dutch production duo - Fouk concludes the project with their own take on 'Mindcraft'. Higher emphasis has been placed upon the percussive elements to really establish the body- moving elements in this track, congas and shakers fill the high-end frequencies atop the luminous synth strings and tell-tale vocal sample.
