We're honouring another legend on board this month. It's the artist that made 'A Thousand Nights', 'Nightcolors' and so many other recognisable anthems and whether it's Time Warp or Studio 80, he'll rock the hell out of it. This month's SEKOIA Podcast is by Gregor Tresher. 

His sets often differ from his productions, that tend to be a bit more on the deeper side. Playing mostly prime time spots at his gigs, that doesn't really come as a surprise. But for this podcast, we asked Gregor to take a step back and go deep. You can read more about this difference between producing and playing in the interview printed in DJ Mag, released today. "Here's my mix for the SEKOIA podcast series including some of my current favorite tracks and also a couple of gems that you might not have heard for some time. I tried to create a little rise and fall as I would do in a club-set, but kept it on a more deep and moody level this time - to make it enjoyable for a nighttime car-ride or listening on headphones. N-You-Up and Boogie Vice join forces with vocalist Joshua Morris for a sun-soaked house groover, 'All By Design'.

Built around a slap-style bassline, tight percussion, and a rolling acoustic groove, 'All By Design' showcases the creative chemistry between Boogie Vice and N-You-Up, who have regularly collaborated on labels like Get Physical, Rekids, and Definitive Recordings. The track unfolds with evolving vocal phrases from South African artist Joshua Morris, adding both charm and depth. As the groove progresses, warm piano chords and a more melodic vocal section lift the energy into new territory while keeping the dancefloor in focus.

Boogie Vice, the French producer now based in Cape Town, has carved out a niche with his fusion of funk, soul, and house. With a catalog stretching across respected labels and a growing presence in film scoring and artist development, his sound is both refined and rooted in rhythm.

Southern France’s N-You-Up brings a jazz-and-disco-infused house touch to the project, backed by his years behind the decks and a track record that includes standout releases on Nervous Records and Get Physical. His productions continue to win support from tastemakers like Solomun, Dennis Ferrer, and Jamie Jones.

Adding the final piece is Joshua Morris, a Cape Town-based vocalist and producer known for blending psych-pop influences with rich, layered vocals. His distinctive tone and songwriting instincts shine on 'All By Design', making the track feel as immediate as it is lasting.

Yulia Niko and Alfonso Muchacho Reimagine A 1980’s Classic With ‘Bad Habits’.

Yulia Niko returns with another compelling contribution to her forthcoming ‘Body Language Vol. 26’ compilation, as she teams up with enigmatic UK producer Alfonso Muchacho for ‘Bad Habits’ – a cover of Jenny Burton’s iconic 1985 anthem. Out now via Get Physical Music ahead of the compilations full release on September 19, the track continues to shape the sound and spirit of one of electronic music’s most in demand talents.

Taking inspiration from Burton’s timeless vocal hook, ‘Bad Habits’ breathes new life into a classic with a modern, underground twist. At once groovy, hypnotic and irresistibly soulful, the track pairs a rich female vocal performance – full of warmth and attitude – with stripped- back, rolling percussion and a darkly polished low-end. The result is a simmering late-night weapon that pays homage to its roots while speaking fluently to today’s dancefloors.

More raw and underground in tone than the compilation’s earlier singles, ‘Bad Habits’ reflects the creative synergy between two distinct but complementary forces. Yulia Niko, known for her emotionally charged minimalism and deep club sensibility, brings her signature finesse to the mix – clean, elegant, and loaded with tension. It also marks a standout contribution from Alfonso Muchacho – a cult figure in the underground, whose productions operate on a unique wavelength of controlled chaos, hypnotic rhythm,and shadowy allure.

As the latest chapter in ‘Body Language Vol. 26’, ‘Bad Habits’ continues to define the spirit of the compilation: bold, genre-fluid and deeply rooted in the dancefloor’s emotional core.

After that it’s Severin Su with ‘Ego Reverie’. This one features multi-layered percussion and a vocal refrain that will keep you locked from the start. The drums keep this one full of propulsive energy, while the stabs add drama and a serious emotional charge.
