Stephen Disario delivers four-tracks as the debut release on his newly-launched imprint, and in so doing sets the tone for the output we can expect in years to come: driving basslines and infectious percussion crafted with meticulous perfection. Throughout the four tracks, Disario showcases what he does so well as a producer: groovy, funky techno that will always find its home in a proper underground techno setting.

The EP starts off with "Under The Rug," an hypnotic masterpiece that sucks listeners in and takes them deeper and deeper as the track's intensity builds and reaches its peak.

"Walking Through Trees" is next, picking up the tempo with an added groove carrying the track throughout... a real dance floor mover.

The pace continues with "The Marathon," a percussion-driven stomper characterized by well-crafted peaks and valleys permeated by distorted eerie vocals.

To conclude the EP, "Lights Down Under" showcases Disario's other signature techno soundscape. Here he takes the funk route, using an 808 clap and eerie howl broken by hard to discern and yet catchy vocals to great results.

The 6th release on Bond celebrates its makers return to the wheel. It consists of three tracks made by Petter B and is part of a series called “Roots”. The a-side, “Roots Pt I”, is as ballistic track that got a simple yet addictive stab as a hook. It sound could best be described as that t-shirt you went clubbing in for 24h and that you should wash thoroughly before ever wearing again. That dirty. On the flip side you got Drummer III which, like its predecessors, is a simple yet effective tool track. Last but not least you got “Shut Your Eyes”. Follow the titles advice and leap of into infinity and beyond with this 303/707 minimalistic soundscape voyage. A perfect end to a great night. 

The label Bond is the brainchild of Swedish techno DJ and producer Petter B. The concept of the label is “music by DJs for DJs”. The label focuses on releasing tracks that enable the DJ, rather than the producer, to be creative. It is based on that special bond which is created every time a DJ combines tracks, loops and sounds live into something new and unique.

Portuguese maestro Lewis Fautzi drops his 2nd EP on @soma Records of 2020 with the State Of Pressure EP. As well as two top drawer originals from Lewis, the EP feature two specially commissioned remixes from fellow Portuguese rising stars Nørbak & Temudo, both of whom have featured this year on Soma to high acclaim.

Title track "State Of Pressure" opens and doesnt mess about as thumping, driving drums lay the foundation before pure, hypnotic rhythms begin their descent delivering that typical Fautzi sound. 

Nørbak's remix of "State Of Pressure" takes note of the originals hypnotic vibe offering a deeper and more percussive driven affair. 

"Epidemic Of Wellness" has Fautzi working in darker elements and delivering more tension with his use of each particular strain of the track pulsing and modulating perfectly in sync. 

Temudo closes out the EP with his remix of "Epidemic Of Wellness." Always focusing on groove and momentum, Temudo goes sub heavy on his version but retains the dark tones of the original whilst almost adding an Electro-like flex on the groove.

Premiere: Lewis Fautzi "Epidemic Of Wellness" - Soma Records

Alan Fitzpatrick's new EP 'In the Beginning' makes the most of the industrial techno style with ambient percussion to create space and rhythm giving ‘In the Beginning’ a big warehouse feel. The droning synth carries the track through before a melodic synth line gives the track the boldness that has seen the Alan Fitzpatrick sound become infamous around the world. Lexicon uses a pitch bending synth as well as old-school synth strings and pads to create another atmospheric track that will be a staple in any techno set.
