I'm here to share and appreciate all genres of music.  Most of what I am currently recording is electronic, and largely ambient, in nature; however, I have recently started recording cover songs of various tunes.  So, since I'm no longer strictly ambient (only mostly), I've changed my SoundCloud name to Smooth Waters Sonic Journeys.  Headphones greatly enhance the listening experience. When I listen to music, I lose touch with my body and turn into a soul that no longer belongs anywhere. I was born in Iowa, grew up listening to jazz and blues in Chicago, spent many years in the Middle East studying Persian and Arabic literature, and was exposed to the beauty of African music. To be honest, though, not even literature can move me emotionally like music does.
