Peyman Salimi is an Iranian-Italian singer-songwriter, guitarist, and music producer. Born in Iran and shaped by his years in Italy, his path as a musician is as diverse as the languages he sings in—English, Persian, and Italian. Growing up surrounded by a blend of cultures and sounds, he picked up the guitar as a teenager and quickly was drawn to songwriting as a way to process his ever-changing world. After releasing two solo albums and two with his band, The Allophones, he left Florence to move to New York City, where he soon after released his third solo record “The Psychology of Letting Go”.

He’s now pursuing a research project at Georgia Tech on multilingual songwriting and its cognitive effects. In addition to his solo work, he performs with Canadian singer-songwriter Zoe Guigueno in an acoustic-electronic duo. His music often reflects themes of displacement, identity, and feminism, shaped by his experiences across different cultures and worldviews.
