Fuga Ronto's second release Greatest Treasure is a musical journey exploring different kinds of territories by blending elements of synth funk, dub, fusion, new wave and ambient with household noises, reverb vocals and quotes from movies to adventure games. Out of playful recording sessions the Zurich duo Schweizer and Shiller created songs with track names that read like movie titles. The treasure quest begins with a tongue-in-cheek intro before the title track kicks in. It’s all about exotic boogie with adventurous lyrics and voodoo magic. The rhythm guitar, percussion and multilingual chanting driven single „Falling Star“, lures even unathletic feet onto the dancefloor. "Columbo De Domingo“, a rolling instrumental based on a four chord sequence creates an illusional staircase moment. The tracks on the B-side guide towards slower and dreamier attempts. "Mirror To Water" builds on swaying synth pads that lead up to a laid-back song with breathy male and female vocals over a shuffling drum beat. It’s epilogue "Wobble In The Pool" sticks to the mood and takes the sounds further into dubby lands. The closing chapter "Mystery Of Zambio" is a delightful two- parter. Nostalgic melodies take the lead at first to be replaced by chords and a choir in the second part, until they dance away into the fade-out. Maybe a hint for a continuation of the story? One would hope so.

Hell Yeah is back to extract another sublime single from Michele Mininni's Pop Archetypes album, with 'Vertigo' up next alongside a remix from label favourite and downtempo king Calm.

Italian leftfield wizard Mininni has released on the likes of R&S, Optimo Trax and Internasjonal, but on his debut album, he mixed up a new palette of broken beats, worldly rhythms, jazz, and live drums into a diverse and multicultural trip.

At the heart of it is the gorgeous 'Vertigo', a heavenly interlude of shimmering wordless vocals, yearning melodies and widescreen design with gentle synth notes bringing the movement. Calm is a label favourite who has remixed and released albums and EPs here many times before. He elevates the track by layering in a languid dub rhythm and synths that swirl around the groove while the choral vocals bring blissful feels.

"Here am I your special island, come to meeee, come to meeee". Some records have a strange destiny emerging once in a while to sink again in the unending ocean of time... Bali Ha'i is the name of a mystical island somewhere in the Pacific, visible on the horizon but not reachable. Initially, the song appears in the Broadway musical South Pacific (1949) which was made into a blockbuster film in 1958. Then "Bali Ha'i" was covered by Disconnection in 1982 and released on the mighty Y Records. In the musical, the matriarch of Bali Ha’i, Bloody Mary, conducts a lot of business with the troops, and sings her mysterious song "Bali Ha’i" to the Lieutenant Joseph Cable after he arrives, because she wants to entice him to visit her island. In 2016 Unfamous Glasgow imprint Optimo Music reissues this cult and seducing "mutant" disco tune in the original configuration : Radio Mix, US Discomix and UK Discomix versions alongside the faux exotica delight “Aaaah”. The vinyl is out on June 3rd, but already "in your heart, you'll hear it call you: Come away...Come awayyy"

These two tracks (to me) were destined to be played together. Unfortunately there was a problem with one note where the two tracks clashed so I never put it out there.  
My old friend Dave from Boxcar liked the idea & came on board to help me realise my original concept & got it to where it needed to be.  
With lots of love from both of us we present this as a special holiday treat for you all to enjoy 🙂
