Hello Soundcloud fam, it has been a hot minute hasn't it? Yes I am still alive and apparently I'm still a DJ. I've been on a little sabbatical/mental health break but wanted to pop in with some tunes. I found this on my laptop and cleaned it up for y'all to enjoy. It's my set from the amazing Shindig Festival 2022 from the Church of Love stage hosted by the legendary Father Funk! An hour of the usual funky goods here for you to enjoy. I'm also about halfway through a sequel to my Sunday Afternoon Disco mix with so stay locked for that one, it's gonna be extra special! Great to be back at it somewhat and if you're feelin it please give a repost or share, stay fonky!

Long island iced beats 2

This time last year Music of Substance's Chris Read and I got together to compile a mixtape of funky and unusual Christmas records that we modestly called the "World's Greatest Christmas Mixtape". For what started out as a bit of fun, the response was pretty incredible with thousands of downloads in just a week or so. We joked at the time that we had enough records left over to have done it twice so, with the Christmas season coming round again, we figured we'd go for it a second time. The result is what we're even less seriously calling the "World's Second Greatest Christmas Mixtape".As with volume 1, there's a mix of funk, soul, 80s hip hop, reggae, jazz and much more, all with that Christmas theme. Chris and I have done one half of the mix each which you'll find on our respective Mixcloud pages.
