虹色ノート

This is an instrumental cover of "You Are Not Alone", from the FFIX soundtrack by Nobuo Uematsu.

This was requested to me by my friend Lia as she is planning to make a vocal cover of the song. As she requested, I based my version on Erutan's own cover of the song.

I don't know the first thing about orchestral or folk music arrangement, so I just tried looking for sounds I like and assembling them to see what sticks.
At least it allowed me to use my tin and low whistles,  and my nylon-stringed guitar which I don't get to do a lot ! :P

Personally I think this isn't a very busy arrangement, there's actually quite few instruments and very few things happening at the same time, and if I had to do it again I would probably add layers (probably orchestral), but here I tried to keep a balance between a backing track for a singer to showcase her voice and something pleasing instrumentally.
