Named after the Spanish word for ‘soul’, the Casablanca-born, Marbella-based musician blends influences together, striking a balance of delicate pads, ethereal chord melodies and pulsating rhythm to “evoke daydreams” and charge listeners with positive energy, wherever they listen to the record.

Benchek describes ‘Alma’ as music for “dreamlike escape that captivates listeners from the first note.” In the essence of soul-searching, this is a record that simultaneously channels feelings of moving forwards while being connected to one’s past. Progression with a hint of nostalgia, and what it means to be an ever-evolving human being in this thing we call life.
