Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Juan Sapia’s music has been released on prestigious labels such as Sudbeat Music, Plattenbank Records, Or Two Strangers, Dreamers Records, Genesis Music, Just Movement, Balkan Connection and more. 

The EP opens with Way To Heaven, a track full of joy, hope and celebration, with a feeling of anticipation for a bright future. Label head Tripswitch takes on the remix keeping the joyous energy and adding layers of sublime modular magic.

Paradise Circus channels a deeper groove while maintaining a uplifting vibe with lots of long sweeps, syncopated percussion and a soaring topline. For the remix Italy’s Gai Barone take the controls and turns up the heat. Razor edged hats and EFX glide over a bubbling bassline and driving kick bringing the EP to an explosive crescendo.

The latest installment in our free download series welcomes Nicolas Rada for his third appearance. Upon beginning his career in 2007, Nicolas quickly became a favourite of Hernan Cattaneo where his original productions and private remixes become a staple in the sets of the storied DJ. Hailing from Buenos Aires, the Argentinean artist eventually found a home on Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden and Eelke Kleijn’s Days Like Nights where his groovy progressive sound has flourished. 2017 proved to be a breakout year, highlighted by his first remix collaboration with Nick Warren, where the duo reworked Upercent’s ‘Pulsacions’ to both critical and commercial success. Now frequent studio partners, Nicolas and Nick have continued to build a strong studio synergy showcasing their original material on Nick’s The Soundgarden imprint while also recording a string of impressive remixes for Get Physical, Monday Social Music, Proton Music and Timeless Moment. On the solo front, Nicolas has also continued to prosper with an appearance on Patrice Buamel’s GU Berlin compilation, along with original projects for Sudbeat Music and TRYBESof. Having first appeared on our free download series with his hugely sought-after remake of Bjork’s ‘Mutual Core’ in 2019 and then again in 2020 with an equally large rendition of Underworld’s ‘Cowgirl’, we’re happy to welcome Nicolas back with a huge interpretation of the Depeche Mode classic ‘Precious’. Initially remixed by progressive house icons Sasha and Spooky in 2005, Nicolas now brings a new perspective to the track which has been championed by John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Powerful textures scatter across the left-right spectrum in eerie majesty and a rolling rhythmic landscape burns through the morning mist in swirling patterns. From the US West Coast, a bassline force pulses across the "Morgenstunde" as Anakim's bewitching percussive patterns glitter and glide in intricate glockenspiel arrangement while a new analogue intensity crystalises with white-noise menace. Artfaq's first solo EP arrives on Sudbeat with the support remix coming from one of the label's favourite, Ezequiel Arias. 

The Cordoba-based pair have made huge waves in recent times with tracks on Replug, The Soundgarden and Or Two Strangers to name a few. Collaboratively, they have a strong working relationship with Ezequiel with several releases on Cid Inc's aforementioned imprint. 

Opening with 'Lexion' Artfaq showcase exactly what's got them soaring the charts. Deep velvety kicks, heavenly synths, and a bass growl from Hell juxtapose in the most delightful way. Perfect warm up vibes that assure smiling faces on the floor. 
Next up, 'Perth Flight' continues apace. Solid kicks, snappy percussion and the warm low rumble of bass usher in another monster tune. The synth lines are delicate, each contributing to the overall story. 
Finally, Ezequiel Arias adds his unique flavour to 'Lexion'. More robust and peak time sounding, the airy synths create pockets of calm among the deep and pounding rhythm sections.
