For our fourteenth release we head to Barcelona and welcome an institution of the city's fast moving electronic scene. Pau Roca has an adaptable attitude to music; deftly turning his hand to house, disco, boogie and electronic elements in a 15 year career that has seen him perform all over Europe. The SS20 EP comprises three original tracks that take influence from deep house, acid, breaks and chilled moments. Remixes come in the form of one of Europe’s hottest DJ and production duo’s Eternal Love, and the label’s own Joe Morrisf

On Friday 8th September Morocco was struck by the strongest earthquake on record for over a century. Hitting the High Atlas mountains, around 70 kilometres southwest of Marrakesh, the 6.8 magnitude quake has killed over 3000 people and impacted the lives of over 300,000 more.

As a way to raise funds for families and communities impacted by the disaster, we’ve rallied friends together for ‘Tadamoun: A Compilation for Moroccan Earthquake Relief’.

Compiled in collaboration with Geneva-based DJ and producer Reda Saiarh, the release features 24 tracks contributed by artists from across Europe, including Anatolian Weapons, Romain FX, Justine Forever, Cornelius Doctor, Zaatar and more. Musically it travels across many sounds and styles too, from ambient electronica, trip hop and leftfield bass to chugging Italo, jackin’ new beat and trippy techno.

All proceeds will be split 50/50 between two charities who are helping to raise money for those affected and to rebuild communities that have been devastated: Atlas Kinder, a charity who supports abandoned children in Morocco, and Insaf, a non-profit organisation that protects and supports women and children.

DC Promo Tracks: Bogdan Ra "Le Choc"

“Subsoil” is a deep, instrumental house track that invites the listener beneath the surface — both sonically and emotionally. Driven by earthy percussion, warm sub basslines, and a steady hypnotic pulse, the track offers a spacious, grounded experience without the need for vocals or dramatic shifts.

The production is intentionally minimal and clean. Hand percussion and wooden rhythmic elements weave into a subby, fluid groove that feels organic and physical. Filtered pads and subtle textures add depth and atmosphere without overwhelming the mix.

“Subsoil” is perfect for sunset DJ sets, immersive playlists, documentary soundbeds, nature visuals, or slow movement sessions like yoga or walking meditation. The groove is constant, the energy is low-key but magnetic — a track built to move bodies without shouting.

Flash Atkins has pulled in Charlie Sinclair, singer from one of Manchester's hottest new bands, Sylvette for a collaboration that promises to be the start of something special.  The track has already been gathering heat, with Bill Brewster calling it 'one of his favourite house records of 2017' and reports of it rocking ALFOS and The Warehouse Project.

The original has a throbbing sub over clipped techy drums, muted guitar and an incessant Moog riff.  But the killer punch is Charlie Sinclair's soulful, intimate vocals that sit beautifully over the music.  The groove is locked and builds to the break where a hint of disco hits the floor before the final section brings in the bells to devastating effect.  The end result is a track that is destined to knock socks off in the coming months.  You were warned. 

Sean Johnston liked it so much he asked to do a remix and the result is everything you would expect from the Hardway Brothers.  He keeps the original elements but toughens things up with added oomph, taking it in a proto house and techno direction.  

Finally Tal M. Klein strips the track back to it's bare basics with devastating effect. Just a kick, the guitar and serious compression provide space for the tripped out vocal and a truly psychedelic deep house experience.
