El Filo is a Spanglish Rap artist from Chicago with roots in Cancun creating a blend of conscious and spiritual hip hop. He is known for his witty word play and poetic lyricism to spread positive and healing messages. While living in Mexico, El Filo performed in night clubs and hip hop showcases throughout Cancun and the Yucatán peninsula. 
 
Besides rapping, El Filo also breakdances and has performed on television in Mexico and the US. His crew Urban Soul, based in Cancun, performs in resorts including Dreams, and Secrets resorts where El Filo also worked in his early career. 
 
Currently, El Filo focuses on raising his children, while maintaining his Chicago Massage business and growing his music followers to create an enlightening change in the world.
