His sharp ear for rhythms, his meticulous eye of detail, and his firm sense of aesthetics have already set him up for skyrocketing his talents across the globe. His vision of Techno, you ask? Everything you know, nothing you’d expect. Synth lines stripped down to their sonic bones, woven inside percussive bacchanals for the gods. Minimalistic, yet groovy.

Stephen Disario has placed himself at the forefront of Los Angeles’s techno community with his signature style of moody, driving techno. Whether in the studio or behind the decks his sound is distinct, and his passion rings clear in his music. Stephen has also offered huge contributions to the Los Angeles scene by organizing events under the Cognition brand, which he co-founded in 2017, and through his involvement with H2Audio, a premier LA based sound company. He had his breakthrough year in 2020 with his track "Rave" gaining support from Amelie Lens, Pan Pot, and many others. Stephen continued to break the mold in 2021 with the release of "Pulse" which was constant rotation and found its way into Chris Liebing’s AM/FM podcast. 2023 sparked a new chapter with the launch of Conundrum Records, showcasing Stephen's unique sound as well as bringing on like-minded peers in the scene for releases and label showcases. You can catch Stephen playing at sweaty warehouses small and large as well as notable events like ADE, Boiler Room, CRSSD, and others.

幼少の頃からクラシック音楽に傾倒し、ピアノをはじめトロンボーンやバイオリン等の管弦楽に慣れ親しむ。 東京外国語大学在籍中にクラブミュージックと出会い、2008年より本格的なDJ活動を開始。 東ロンドンのアンダーグラウンドシーンで直に受けた影響を軸として国内でのキャリアを積む一方、ADEへの出演やヨーロッパでのツアーを成功させるなど、DJ・プロデューサーとして国内のみならず着実に全世界からの認知度を高めてきた。
デビュー作 ’What Are You Doin’ が2018年Lyase Recordings (Italy) よりリリースされると、Maceo Plex、Charlotte de Witte、Daniel Averyらによって強力な支持を得る。その直後にはMaetrikやANNAなどのリリースで知られるClash Lion (Spain) から ‘Ambush’ EPをリリース。同作は、Beatport Leftfield Techno & Houseチャートでトップリリース最高5位を記録し、世界中のDJ達によってBBC Radio 1をはじめとする様々な番組でプレイされる。その後もPan-Pot主宰のSecond State、Dense & Pika主宰のKneaded Painsなどより常に精力的なEPリリースを重ね、ベルリンのWatergate、オランダの Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) にてSecond Stateのショーケース出演に抜擢されるなどヨーロッパでの認知度を着実に得た。 2022年には元Princeのエンジニアとしても知られるBlack Asteroidとのコラボレーションを行い、Chris LiebingのCLRより’Acid Flesh’ EPがリリース。硬派で中毒性のあるダークなサウンドで構成される自身の音楽を探求し続けている。

ーDJ MIXはどこで録音したのですか？
自宅にて、Ableton Liveで作成しました。

ーDJ MIXのコンセプトについて教えてください。
1時間という限られた時間の中で、できる限りのストーリーを作ろうと心がけました。新譜を中心に、去年よくプレイしたトラックを混ぜつつ、最後は今年リリース予定の自分の新しいトラックで締めました。

ー今後の活動についてお聞かせください。
今年もいくつかリリースが決まりつつ、ヨーロッパでツアーも控えているので今からとても楽しみです。
ここ何年かで制作してきたトラックを携えて飛び回りたいと思います。

Born in 1995 in Vilalba (Galicia), a region in the northwest of Spain, Diego Amido aka Oxygeno is a young and emerging artist from the Spanish techno scene.

Through the name Oxygeno, different moods, sensations and experiences that hide behind him come to light. As a result, his music is full of textures, with hypnotic rhythms that send minds into endless trips. 

On the productions' side, Oxygeno has released music on labels like Axis, Soma, Mord, Edit Select or his own label Lost Verses. His music has been widely played all around the globe, by well respected artists such as DVS1, Dave Clarke, Paula Temple, Slam, Blawan, Richie Hawtin and many more.

His sets are characterised by a mix of mesmerizing sounds and more raw, groovy, straight and banging techno. He has played in clubs like Melkweg (Amsterdam), Gare (Porto), or Cassette and Utopia (Madrid).

Medulla Oblongata’s doorway into the world of electronic music was via a long-standing immersion In the ambient world, the inspiration from which can be heard throughout much of his artistic outputs, including hybrid ambient sets incorporating tape samples, drone machine loops, and synths. The musical universe he inhabits thus encompasses ambient and drone, through to deeper hypnotic and more driving techno, with a more recent gig being an all-night long ambient -through-to-deep set alongside Terence Fixmer at KALT in Strasbourg. 

This mix recorded for On the 5th Day is inspired by his November 2022 gig with Dasha Rush and Justine Perry at KALT, and thus you can expect an immersive dance floor orientated trip to set you up beautifully for the week ahead.

Acostumbrado a ritmos y velocidades algo más tranquilas, Tuber se puso el mono de trabajo para proporcionar unas dos horas de ritmos frenéticos de principio a fin. Techno de calidad que mandó la pista al infierno.

Tuber showing his versatility with a dizzying set in the wee hours of the morning. Session that took place last January 21st at Phase.ctv's Sinapsis party. Accustomed to somewhat calmer rhythms and speeds, Tuber put on his overalls to provide about two hours of frenetic rhythms from start to finish. Quality techno that sent the dancefloor to hell.

Aitor Tuber, más conocido como Tuber, empezó a experimentar con la música electrónica a los 16 años, mientras trabajaba como relaciones públicas en 2 de las discotecas más importantes del norte de España; Se dedicaba a pinchar tech-house y minimal en sus ratos libres, como hobby. Durante sus estudios universitarios, dejo esté hobby de lado por falta de tiempo, aunque siempre ha estado interesado por la música electrónica.
Tras vivir en Berlin durante una época, y vivir de cerca la escena techno de la capital alemana, decidió retomar su hobby como DJ, ya con unos gustos musicales más maduros. Al volver de Alemania, formó un colectivo con algunos de sus amigos: THG. El objetivo de este colectivo es impulsar la escena electrónica en Donostia.
También experimenta con la producción musical, dejando ver su pasión por los gadgets, la electrónica y los sonidos industriales. Ha sacado varios tracks en sellos como Oxytech Records de Ucrania. A nivel musical, Tuber se decanta por varios tipos de Techno: desde el techno europeo con toques industriales hasta el dub techno. En su colección de vinilos no faltan tracks de sellos como R&S, Mord, Ostgut-Ton, Polegroup, Basic Channel, Cabrera, Kompakt …

El DJ guipuzcoano Tuber firma la décima entrega de nuestras BOD Series, la sección que dedicamos a los sets exclusivos de nuestros artistas.Aitor Tuber, más conocido como Tuber, empezó a experimentar con la música electrónica a los 16 años, mientras trabajaba como relaciones publicas en 2 de las discotecas más importantes del norte de España; Se dedicaba a pinchar tech-house y minimal en sus ratos libres, como hobby. Durante sus estudios universitarios, dejó esté hobby de lado por falta de tiempo, pero manteniendo su interés por la música electrónica. Tras vivir en Berlin durante una época, y saborear de cerca su escena techno, decidió retomar su hobby como DJ, ya con unos gustos musicales más maduros. De vuelta a Euskadi formó el colectivo THG junto a unos amigos con el objetivo de impulsar la escena electrónica en Donostia.En su faceta como productor, su pasión por los gadgets, la electrónica y los sonidos industriales le han llevado a publicar ya varios tracks en sellos como Oxytech Records de Ucrania. El techno es su estilo predilecto, moviéndose a través de distintas vertientes: del europeo con toques industriales hasta el dub. Su nuevo proyecto llega en forma de sello: Inguma (dios de las pesadillas de la mitologia vasca). Está enfocado al lado más mental del techno, ritmos bastante complejos, muchas texturas, además del dub techno. Precisamente, el último tema de la sesión, firmado por Albert van Abbe, es de Dub Techno y formará parte del primer release del sello que conoceremos muy pronto. Para el resto del mix, Tuber se ha mantenido fiel a su estilo y ha condensado en 75 minutos lo que suele pinchar en sus sesiones (normalmente de mayor duración). Arranca a bajos bpms y termina ligeramente más arriba, con una mezcla de temas recién publicados y más antiguos. En la actualidad sus sets están compuestos por temas muy dinámicos y con atmósferas bastante “granulares” y con muchos hats. Según nos cuenta, no le gusta el techno facilón con paradas y bombos cuadrados e intenta mostrarlo a su manera, sin pasar por ritmos rotos o breaks, simplemente con algo de techno "mentalero" como él lo define.
