The No Distance guys are back on Truesounds Music with a new 3 tracker!

The title track TENET is a hypnotic journey on solid grounds. Its break with the reversed synth trick is a real mind twister!

The 2nd track HYPERION has an even deeper approach to the current Melodic House & Techno vibes. The smooth toms at the low end and the ethereal leads on the top make this track a quality example of its genre.

MISSING JETLAG has a bit happier atmosphere than the other two on this release, but the gated synth chords in the middle skyrocket everyone’s mind to orbit for sure!

Toronto producer Dowden joins Modern Agenda Music with his three track EP, Ripple. Each of the tracks carries something special, each is unique in its own sound. 

Ripple, the title track, is in collaboration with local Torontonian vocalist, Amber Long. Ripple is a melancholic vocal track that leaves space to the imagination as the melody carries the mood along. Keyway is signature sound for Modern Agenda music, a perfect addition to any set, with that deep Progressive House sound, rolling bass, intricate percussion, just a beautiful piece of work. Somber is, as the name suggests, very dark, cinematic and the perfect introspective ending track to any set.

The second release on Solid Stone’s Phenomena imprint welcomes Basil O’Glue to the label for his debut EP. Since arriving on the scene a decade ago the Greek artist has carved out a unique place in the progressive house underground. His deep, enchanting productions have led to releases on cutting edge imprints while earning support from a wide range of international DJs. Now with the demand for his music at an all time high, Basil joins Phenomena with a double a-side release entitled ‘Sacred Language/Distant Mirror’.

From stripped, punchy beginnings ‘Sacred Language’ immediately builds intrigue with an inviting atmospheric resonance. On a bed of buoyant beats and well contoured bass comes warped motifs and waves of metallic percussion. Binding rhythmic flow with heady harmonics and hypnotic arps makes for a sleek, meditative first act. A foreshadowing of sorts, as the narrative elevates across two breaks, eventually peaking as waves of white noise and timely modulation converge for a smooth rush and exhilarating finale. 

The companion piece ‘Distance Mirror’ shows how adept Basil is at crafting trippy yet melodious sound stories. Deep, pulsating and laced with astral effects, the piece builds in waves across four acts. Bubbly arps emanate an effervescent glow while raspy lines and unconventional chord changes add to its congruent psychedelia. Building to a sensory sizzle, the second of three interludes proves to be a sonic crest of sorts, setting up a storming final act.  Two stunning cuts from Basil that any true progressive house aficionado will certainly cherish in their collection for years to come.

Montreal producer Deric Frey makes his debut on Plaisirs Sonores Records by delivering a quality release with two super ethereal tracks. On remix duty, Strinner, who already released on great labels like Steyoyoke, Click Records and Timeless, remixes Interstellar Highway adding weight and more dynamic pattern to the beat. Progressive House master Michael A put his own touch on Weather Modification by creating a groovy version of the track.
