In the fall of 2010, Richard Bean responded to a Craigslist ad from Matt Hutchins, for DJ’s interested in developing a new sound and playing house parties together. After hitting the college party scene, the pair started to quickly move into the local bars in Chicago, playing one off gigs and drawing from eclectic influences from classic soul and funk, to nu disco and downtempo sexy house music. 

Mot Juste (French for “Right Word”) quickly graduated from residence soirees to playing well-known windy city venues such as Debonair, Rodan, Citizen, Harbee Liquors and the dance-crowd favorite, Beauty Bar. The duo have also played some staple Chicago venues in recent times (House of Blues, Metro, Primary) and the duo can now be found producing electronic based music here on SoundCloud.

Samaro has been around the house and techno world for his entire life; he learned to DJ at a young age, taking after his father, who was a major DJ and driving force during house music's emergence in the 80’s and 90’s. His love and passion for the history of dance music is woven into the DNA of his sets, drawing from house, underground club, and techno sounds of Chicago, Detroit and New York, along with the rhythmic, bass-driven tribal and world sounds inspired by his time living in Miami. All of these worlds collide, inspiring Samaro's search for the modern evolution of the foundations of house.
Samaro carries the torch for house music in Indianapolis, performing weekly while curating the talent for his residency "Proper", which gives a platform to talented local, regional, national and international DJs.
