T>I, one of a handful of producers responsible for bringing raw 90’s vibes back to drum & bass without following the same old route of ‘back to the old school’. Championed by DJ Hype and DJ Rap, T>I has already had a huge amount of hits on the underground and his latest pending releases under Serial Killaz will be no exception.

If you know your upfront drum and bass or not, you will have most certainly heard plenty of T>I’s tracks being supported by most if not all of the A list DJ circuit. Virtual record boxes have continued to be stocked with dubplate after dubplate by one of the hardest working producers our scene has seen for years.

Don’t get it twisted, this isn’t a ragga jungle explosion with a plethora of Amen beats - this is pure rolling sublow drum and bass and it’s coming in not one but two parts! Sample spotters hold tight.

High energy beats and bass combined with mid 90’s production influences are in abundance. Top scale bass lines that flip the script from ‘Changes’, deep and dark vibes in the form of ‘Hammerhead’ and music to make even the stiffest of ravers shuffle in the form of ‘Watcha Man’. This EP has it all and it’s taking no prisoners.

‘Circuits’ is being released as two separate EP’s, part one incoming 10th June followed by part two later on 24th June. Watch out for a bonus track from the album which is soon to be offered as a free download via the Serial Killaz Soundcloud. This is a massive package and certainly not one to sleep on.

Mayan alumni Recs are noted for their head banging jumpy style of cutting edge neuro production in their music. This time round we are introduced to something a little different. Floaty and deeply reverbed keys create an serene space, however the tempo of the track is not lost with a razor sharp break carrying the heat of the track. All seems peaceful with a haunting vocal sample moving throughout the intro, and then as expected with this duo the twist arrives in the form of a heavily warm saturated bass line on the drop! Tamed by the otherworldly melodies and mixed beautifully with gorgeous pads, Recs have delivered a perfect balance between light and dark.

Kung teases a hypnotic dealing of 'Playful' drum and bass. A xylophonic melody creates the suspense at the start chiming the path to a track laced with a rush of high spirited drums and uplifting bass. Kung's production has always been noted for how technically 'clean' his mixdowns are, and Playful rides on the same ethos. Impeccable sub bass and clinical drum hits that can't be ignored. After the breakdown comes a halftime section which allows for the track to build once more and again launch into a full tantrum of bass and drum.

Bristol based Jestah, arrives at Mayan Audio with this gritty head nodding low slung classic ‘Commandments’. Passage from the intro is in the form of a classic Hip Hop sampling and the main body is laced with a plucking well rounded lead bass and plenty of cimmerian bass snippets to grab your ears. Hard to fathom is the movement Jestah has achieved in this Behemoth of a low end track, brooding and powerfully sick!
