Curg is the project of Newcastle based producer & dj Curtis Turner.  Heavily influenced by the early sounds of the house music movement, drawing inspiration from the underground sounds of Detroit, Chicago and London.  With a vast discography of diverse original music, each track unique in its own regard, yet cohesive with the collection. Elements ever present from the early acid house movement, integrated with the modern sounds and direction of modern electronic music.

Curg is the founder of Unison dance, a record label and event collective known for its unique take on events, playing homage to the early days of the underground rave scene and building community through music, With a vision to create a platform that’s encourages and nurtures individuality, unity and freedom of expression. 

A live Curg performance will guide you through the realms of house music, exploring all of its sub genres by seamlessly blending tracks from upcoming artists and tracks of old, carefully selected from the time capsules that are local record stores. With a passion for creating positive atmospheres and sharing unknown music with his audiences, Curg delivers diverse and left field sets that focus heavily on taking the listeners on a musical journey through decades of timeless tracks.

With over 10 years experience moving dance floors, the passion shines through minimalism and respect for the early days, technology and innovations of pioneers in the industry such as Kerry Chandler, Roland Clark, Josh Wink and Joey Beltram. These artists having shaped and inspired Curg as an artist and dj for many years, with drive to emulate and and reconstruct their skills and innovations in the craft.

Dom discovered house music when his Mother handed him a copy of Basement Jaxx’ 2001 album ‘Rooty". In his late teen’s Dom spent weekends hosting pub‑discos & djing at parties whilst working as a graphic‑designer during the week. In 2015 Dom was encouraged to quit his day job to pursue his obsession with music and production.

Dom emerged with a string of critically acclaimed club hits; Define, You, Be Randy, Take It, San Frandisco, Pump The Breaks, Moving Blind and Strangers ft. Mansionair. In 2022 Dom released ‘Miracle Maker’ ft. Clementine Douglas which was named BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record In The World, propelling Dom into his global break‑out moment with a run of hit singles, Rhyme Dust w/ MK, Eat Your Man w/ Nelly Furtado, Saving Up, girl$, CAVE w/ Tove Lo and Dreamin ft.
