it seems like a thousand years ago now...happy stan was the band and i think we were playing at this club on bloor street near lansdowne called branko's...kind of an off-shoot of the last resorts....stan sang and played guitar...ed played drums...billy played bass and i played fuzzy electric 12 string-in fact lenny breau's baldwin-we weren't arty enough for queen street...not punk enough for the market...not rock enough for yonge street. stan was the reason this band existed...smart funny...lou reed meets pete townshend without the cynicism of either and a really good printer to boot...as long as you could ignore the heroin....still missed.......
