Lobo is an American singer-songwriter who was successful in the early 1970s, scoring several U.S. Top 10 hits including Don’t Expect Me to Be Your Friend and I’d Love You to Want Me which are on the An Eternal Flame Album. I have included a couple more of his hits in this album... It Sure Took a Long Time to Miss Me and Standing at the End of the Line…really love his music…

I have always loved Abba’s music; they were a 70’s Swedish group who had major hits and were really successful in Australia. I Have a Dream is an inspirational song which has helped me in my life many times and I always wanted to do a cover version of this song which is on this album. I hope you enjoy my cover version...  

I have picked great hits across the generations that have had a connection with me such as... I Was Only Joking, You Don’t Own Me, Heaven is My Woman’s Love, Arms of Mary, The First Cut is the Deepest, Let Me Be There, Tonight’s the Night, I’m So in Love with You...all great hits which I’m sure will bring back some memories...

I’ve complained in the past about modern music needing a jolt of innovation without coming off as pretentious. Phidippus seems to epitomize the desire to make great music while refusing to keep to one specific formula, making his trajectory as an artist fascinating to watch. I find Phidippus to be an immensely underappreciated musician who just needs one big hit to make his name reverberate throughout the densely packed world of electronica, and I hope that that day comes sooner rather than later.

1974: Eric Salazar, aka Phidippus, is conceived then born shortly after.
1984: Plays first instrument, the autoharp.
1985: Joins a break dancing troop.
1986: Dad buys Amiga 1000. 'Sampled' music discovered.
1990: Gets hands on an Ensoniq EPS-16+ sampling workstation and proceeds to make bad music.
1998: CD EP, "Voluptuous", released. After receiving a demo copy, the staff of Peter Gabriel's record label enjoy the CD as they write memos.
1999: Produces remixes for New Vision Recordings and other labels in the UK.
2000: Mercedes, Smirnoff and other companies license Eric's music to promote their products.
2001: Launches New Vision America, a record label. After three singles are released, the label dies a quiet death.
2005: Scores the best selling game, "Belle's Beauty Boutique". What? Its cute.
2008: Releases full length CD, "ES: When I was Emptyhead 1997-2007". The CD goes on to receive airplay in major markets and commendations from the press, including such publications as Knowledge and XLR8R.
2011: Remixes artists such as The B-52s, Summer Channel and Sasha.
2013: Starts producing under the name Phidippus and begins work on the '170' project.
2019: 'When I was Emptyhead 1997-2007' is re-released under the Phidippus moniker and is made available in all major online music 
2022: The hip hop single 'Starfish featuring Cap'n Fresh' achieves airplay in 30 states.
2024: Begins screwing around with AI and by 2025 releases 5 albums of AI assisted music.
