This song was written by Chuck Berry while in prison and was recorded
in 1964.  This " poor boy" traveled across dozen states by bus, train and
plane to get to his promise land (California).  It was also recorded by
Elvis Presley .  Remember, Paul Revere and the Raiders, Freddy Weller,
had a hit with it also.  Louisiana's own Johnny Allen also had a hit with
it here in cajun land.  Having a little fun with this one.

I was going through the Tony Harris collection and came across this little gem he'd written years ago , so I asked him if I could have a go at a complete revamp , he said yes and this is the result , I hope you like it as much as I do ! On the 22nd is a super song with Gaz and Nat , and on the 1st of September is my first outing with fantastic German orchestral composer Axel Menningen , I'm doing a duet with R and B singer Kim . Big revamp of a song I wrote a few years ago , moral of the song is do not pray for rain ! Me , Axel and Andrea have a cracker out on the 4th of October , then me and Dave Cooper on the 11th , just finished a belter with Charlotte , loads in the pipeline again . Now , a little tale for anyone having trouble with Soundclouds 2fa ( two factor authentication ) if you are trying to monetize your songs . I spent almost a week tearing my hair out , I couldn't sign in , but I think I've found the answer . If your codes keep getting refused , switch your automatic time/date on your mobile off , then on again , it'll sync everything , a reset was all it took to get my codes accepted , such a simple thing that took me 6 days to work out for myself as the Help Centre didn't once respond to my problem ! And make sure you copy the back up codes in case it all goes wrong again . I hope this helps anyone who is having the same issue as I had , solved it by chance , no help was available !

This is new take on a song that Rodolfo and I first worked on 4 years ago. He had always imagined it with fine saxophone and great backing harmonies and now that Continental Collision has a wonderful pool of talent to draw on, that has become a reality, thanks to Ce Mastro and Georg Boehme's beautiful contributions.
The song has been given so much more feeling and emotion.
Thanks to them and Rodolfo for believing that we could succeed  and thanks to all of you for listening.

The Busy Worms

Bit of a wacky one this , written by and lead vocals by Gaz Brownie , he sent me a rough draft and basically said " off you go Mike " We got keyboard whizz kid Axel Menningen on board , and the whole thing turned out really good , we hope you like it ! Me , Gaz and Nat have just finished a real belter of a song , took a bit of doing but worth it in the end , released in about a month . Next up is me and Dave Cooper , closely followed by me and Glenny G . then a re release of last years Christmas song ( didn't have time to do a new one ! ) Plus me and Charlotte are working on 2 stunning songs , yet to be completed . If you've liked anything that me and Charlotte have done in the past , then you are gonna Love this one ! It's all about surviving a betrayed relationship and coming out the other side on top , make sure you catch the build up from around 2.25 . We have an album out at the moment , the links are at the bottom . Next up on the 10th is a Blues/Rocker by Dave Cooper , Glenny G and myself , it's a belter !

Jerry Reed- I have his autograph on my old Takemine that is just about faded out.  Jerry was just inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame this year.  Love this man and his music.  I have tried to play his claw type of fingerpicking, but it is so difficult and so many types of tuning.   I dropped my guitar down 1/2 step and played in drop D tuning.  The best I can do is to try and capture a little of his style

I work in different styles, as the inspiration, dreams or bubonic plagiarism comes! I use Logic Pro X on Mac.
 
I write, produce and play all my own stuff (unless otherwise stated), play vintage Tokai Strats mainly, PRS Torero, Steinberger, Gretsch G2627T, Classical, Fender Dreadnought, Yamaha and Rickenbacker basses, keyboards and sax. I use Native Instrument's Komplete, Omnisphere 2 and my own organic samples.

I mix on Sennheiser HD 280 Pro's and HD 650's (closed and open headphones) when not making a bigger noise through my Yamaha HS8 studio monitors. I use Focusrite Clarett 2Pre ThunderBolt and Apogee audio interfaces, Neumann & iSK condenser & AKG dynamic mics. 

Hardware: Feb 1978 Marshall JMP 50W Combo, BOO & BOSS stomps

I love collaborating with other musicians and will compose with, play guitar for, produce, arrange, master or even just hum along with other SC musicians. Please ask!
