This is a collaboration: The highly talented and groovy Californian Bruce @conover supplied the fab backing track which I cut up, rearranged and constructed a song over. We conversed throughout, whilst I added the melody, vocals, lyrics, all the brass and the trumpet cadenza, extra percussion, strings, re-arrangement, mix, et al, all inspired by the backtrack and discussions with BC.

This was a bit of an hommage to George Martin for me. Bruce's track was so redolent of the Beatles already. The @conover bed included the main man singing the eponymous title lines "Everybody knows Gene..." and the lovely rich "bum, bum, bum" and "la, la, la..." bits! I cut it all up and sellotaped it back together in a different order; added lyrics, the song verse/chorus, and the additional orchestration (brass, guitars, strings etc). Good fun working with BC material as always! (Isn't the bass line stunning for one example!) Lyrics below.

This track was written when I had just got off the train after this guy was shouting as this drunk girl on the way home from London, and he starting dissing her education and race and it really pissed me off. so yeah :')

DIDI launched herself onto the solo scene after performing in bands for the previous eleven years. The response has been enthusiastic, with her follow up single (Awkward) being adopted as an LGBTQ anthem by DIVA magazine & 3 radio plays on BBC 6 Music after catching the ear of morning presenter Chris Hawkins and Tom Robinson.

A Japanese dance troupe celebrating Hinamatsuri discovered this dangerous waltz procedure inside an un-pulled and otherwise empty Christmas cracker in an underground bunker in Buckingham Palaces' grounds after an early Spring  garden party. 

It is a secret service adaption of a native South African weaponised waltz; used to protect one from unwanted advances for several minutes when sober. 
(Allegedly less effective if cardboard party hats are present in large numbers.)

To initiate the strike just shout the trigger  "hitch-hiker" to the band leader who will immediately start the secret count (1 and 2 and 3 and 1 2 3 and 4)and the following melee of winded dancers and limb dislocations should ensure a safe exit for the agent. 

Generally only used as a last resort by UK secret services due to the unpredictable depth of collateral damage and abnormal level of vituperative complaints from adjacent dwellings.

I work in different styles, as the inspiration, dreams or bubonic plagiarism comes! I use Logic Pro X on Mac.
 
I write, produce and play all my own stuff (unless otherwise stated), play vintage Tokai Strats mainly, PRS Torero, Steinberger, Gretsch G2627T, Classical, Fender Dreadnought, Yamaha and Rickenbacker basses, keyboards and sax. I use Native Instrument's Komplete, Omnisphere 2 and my own organic samples.

I mix on Sennheiser HD 280 Pro's and HD 650's (closed and open headphones) when not making a bigger noise through my Yamaha HS8 studio monitors. I use Focusrite Clarett 2Pre ThunderBolt and Apogee audio interfaces, Neumann & iSK condenser & AKG dynamic mics.

I love collaborating with other musicians and will compose with, play guitar for, produce, arrange, master or even just hum along with other SC musicians. Please ask!
