Lose the map.

The borders that crop up when people take genres seriously have never been all that useful.  With electronic music it has been especiallyfruitless to try and map the shifting sands; where does nu-proto-tech-gaze end and afro-schaffel-disco-wave begin?

The idea of taking an aimless road trip through music brings a little romance back to into the picture. We can leave hash tags, recommendation algorithms and linkbait articles like "The Top Ten Trip-Hop Songs About Lists" behind in some grey concrete terminal city industrial park. Get the car out onto the road and go where things take you. Pull your eyes up from the screen in your hand and lose the sterile GPS voice hectoring you about missed turns.  If you need to pass the slower cars by driving on the dirt median with your headlights off in the dead of night, so be it. It's OK to lose the map, you'll still get to where you need to be.
