I began composing this song in my parents' basement in Burlington, Vermont at the end of summer 2015. A few choice experiences from my time out on Lake Champlain and the Atlantic that summer fueled the early stages of my creativity. 

My original intentions were to write a powerful, thoughtful epic to use as an opener during my live performances. "Undertow" swells and grows, before smashing into a plodding rhythm with a thick blend of electronic and orchestral instrumentation.
