Hello, my friends! 

Here we are at the end of another year. It has been a huge year for me with the birth of my first child, my son, who is about to turn 11 months old. I want to share the following as truthfully as I can in the hope that it may be of some comfort to anyone reading in a similar situation.

I can not express emphatically enough how ill equipped I felt for parenthood, I have suffered from a long term health condition for 20 years now and overtime this impacted on my mental health to the edge of the point of no return.

Although I am very grateful that I have been able to earn a living from music, it is notoriously financially unstable as a career path and at no point over the last decade have I felt I was in a strong  enough position to bring a child into the equation. This put a huge strain on my relationship with my partner (now my wife). I didn't want her to miss out on having children, but I felt it would be irresponsible of me considering my poor physical and mental health, unreliable income and I also am unable to drive, which is a nightmare living in a rural area.

I can't adequately explain the process of change I have gone through over the last year but needless to say my Son is the light of my life. A beautiful little boy that I just hope with all my heart that I can give him what he needs and be a part of his life for as long as I live.

Thank you all for supporting me this year, I haven't spoken about this publicly because I didn't know how, but this track is about the feelings I had of sadness that my son wouldn't be born to a more strong and stable father. When you feel broken, how do you be strong for someone else? I haven't found any answers but I will fight to the very end to be the best I can for my boy.

Self taught to play piano, bass, guitar / acoustic, and drums by ear, feeling, and emotion. Music is my passion. Though I have played in bands since the age of 15, playing anything from country, metal / rock, blues, funk, disco and pop, my behind the scenes go to music has always been dark, cinematic, melancholy music. It is my escape. During covid, being in a band was almost impossible. in 2020, I began to take composing and producing seriously. working hard to learn everything that goes into composing and producing. What comes out is different. It is art with no limits.
