Michael Towns better known as “Twist” or “Mike Towns“ began producing and wiring music in the early 90’s, perfecting his craft, staying up countless hours in his bed room studio, rapping, selling beats, and mixing songs for local talent in Altadena/Pasadena California area. In 2006 Mike was encouraged by his mother (Elizabeth Bunn) to take his skills to another level, where he attended “THE LOS ANGELES RECORDING SCHOOL”. After graduating top of his class with a certification in Pro Tools, he was invited back as a member of the alumni panel and hired on full time as operations support technical engineer. Shortly after Mike was hired to work in the film and TV department at Sony BMG as a royalties coordinator. After working for BMG for 2 years Mike got hired at Universal music group publishing again as a royalties coordinator. While most of his jobs in the music industry were business and tech related, he staying practicing guitar, mastering large format consoles, and working on songs during his off time. After working in the Music industry for 5 years he realized that he wanted more, so he decided to save up enough money to survive for a year and quit his both jobs in the music industry to begin building his music studio and writing a Pro tools curriculum for his music engineering academy. In 2012 Mike was approached by one his old teachers from LaRecordingSchool who had a technical support engineer position was available working for Focusrite/Novation. Mike is currently working out a studio facility he & his business partner Steve “Sclaz” Sneed took 3 years building from the ground up. They now service the local artist and mentor children using there state of the art facility and up todate music technology.
