There's something very intimate in this song, I think it's melancholy which comes out from the melody. I used a lot of delays on the pianos, which evokes a dreamy mood. I composed the melody in 2003 on a Korg Triton Extreme. It was only 8 measures at this time, and all the basics where already set. However it sounded just sooo bad.... I kept it this way all this time, and decided only 2 months ago that it might be worth producing it with my DAW. So I wrote the words, asked my girlfriend to do the backing and here we go... There are still some improvements to make, but the result is very close to the way I always wanted it.

This song is rather long. After all, it's also about a very long journey. We know that not everybody like long songs. We have an excerpt of this song in a completely different version with only guitar accompaniment. That would be the short alternative.
