The whirlwind force that is Tom Hades and Loose Records team up for the new EP “Goya,” a collection of two new tracks as well as a remix by Hush & Sleep. One of Belgium’s proudest sons, Hades has seen his accomplishments stacked high since starting his own label “Rhythm Convert” in 2004. With tracks released by the likes of Drumcode and MB Electronics, Hades brings world-tour chops to his music, which is on full display with this newest release. Accompanied by Hush & Sleep’s interpretation of the title track, a collaboration that brings out the ethereal, melodic visions of Tom Tonnard and Frankie Decicco to great effect, “Goya” is sure to be a must-have EP for DJs looking to sample the best trailblazers in techno today. 

“Goya” - Quick-footed high-hats sprint across a backdrop of epic bass drums, laying a track that wastes no time in opening the floodgates for a diverse arrangement of effects that range from dreamy to dungeon dark. Surprising and lively at every turn, the energy levels never take a break on this track, offering a ride that is sure to only get more enjoyable on repeat listens. 

“Goya (Hush & Sleep Remix)” - Seizing listeners immediately with an opener overflowing with tech house energy, the track punches hard and then opens onto a landscape of nuanced mastery, aiming for higher than a simple club banger and delivering on this goal wonderfully. Exploring the space is important, especially when it comes to remixes, and the artists do exactly this with results that beg for replays again and again. 

 “Come On” - A riot in deep bass, the terrifically relentless intro on this track pounds earth with a vengeance, embracing the darker shades of techno and coming back with more than memorable results. Kicking off into some deliciously bizarre and inventive vocal productions, one never knows where this track will go next, surrounded by a truly heart-thumping maze of echoes and techno artistry.
