VV Cephei, also known as HD 208816, is an eclipsing binary star system located in the constellation Cepheus, approximately 5,000 light years from Earth. A red supergiant fills the system's Roche lobe when closest to its companion blue star, the latter appearing to be on the main sequence. Matter flows from the red supergiant onto the blue companion for at least part of the orbit and the hot star is obscured by a large disk of material. The red supergiant primary, known as VV Cephei A, is currently recognised as one of the largest stars in the galaxy, with an estimated solar radius of 1,050.

Hunter/Game - Genesis (Ripperton Remix) Just This 002 preview

Nuno dos Santos’ boutique label SoHaSo (shorthand for Something Happening Somewhere; although, sadly the same can no longer be said of Trouw) has been cruising steadily for the best part of two years now, but "Tonii" might just be the best thing committed to wax yet. Love Over Entropy's 12m original is sturdy with bright flourishes throughout, forever climbing and searching without resolve; techy without, y'know, being techy. 

This retouch comes from none other than Innervisions' main man, although  less overtly lovelorn than we've come to expect. He  twists the lead melody into something resembling a steel pan drum, backed by laser-guided synths pinging all around: a festival-sized breakdown held just at the precipice, never fully cresting. Dixon, you big tease.

Earlier this year Desert Dwellers released their most diverse album in the duo's long career. The Great Mystery was the first full length collaborative project between the main founders Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe, and featured a wide range of styles and aesthetics from downtempo and psychedelic dub to tribal trance to exotic house and techno flavors.
To celebrate the special release, Desert Dwellers have curated an ambitious two-part remix album full of contributions from some of the brightest luminaries and rising talents across the underground electronic music landscape. The Great Mystery Remixes Part 1 is slated for a September 21st release, and features sonic reinterpretations from Gaudi, Liquid Stranger, Hibernation, An-ten-nae, Kaminanda, AtYya, Tribone, Twin Shape, Land Switcher, Drumspyder, and Govinda. The second part will be released in late October with contributions from Emancipator, Whitebear, Sixis, Mystral, Supersillyus, Halfred, Master Minded, and many others. It’s warm, deep strings and pianos lead us to connect with the inner self and mother earth. Bedouin brings the jungle to the dance floor with a powerful remix’. LUM goes on to say, ‘the trumpets, percussion and the angelic voice in ‘Plegaria’ are to say thanks. ’Baaxal’ is a reinterpretation of Mayan music, the spirit of the jungle present. 90 bpm, hypnotic, and 741 hz to awaken intuition. The L.A based duo Dance Spirit were discovered by Damian Lazarus after they gave him a re­edit of Bjork '​All is full of Love​’, which soon became one of his 2015 anthems. Subsequently they played at the Crosstown Rebels ​‘Get Lost’​LA event and ​‘Drowning in Irises’​was etched in vinyl.

The title track ‘Drowning in Irises’ is inspired by Van Gogh’s Irises painting. “It hangs in our home turf of LA’s Getty Museum, and [the track] attempts to capture and convey the beauty and emotional quality that Van Gogh achieves in his paintings with color, rhythm, and layers.”

Dance Spirit said of ‘Unfold’ "it addresses the subconscious through the use of rhythm. In short it’s an attempt to hypnotize the listener into movement, positivity, and/or relaxation.” Created in 2013, 'In between Spaces’ started life as a studio experiment, but become “a major revelation in our process of creating music.”

Christopher Mohn and Reagan Denius make up Dance Spirit​, expertly creating a type of futuristic techno which has enabled them to play at Coachella, Piknik Electronic, Fabric, Verboten and Treehouse to name just a few. They have also previously released on Maison D’Etre, Superfreq, Kindisch, Connaisseur Recordings, Culprit, Akbal Music and Endless.

Easy listening has always been the only mood that is taking over our mixes; well with Berny, it doesn't get easier than this. An exquisite selection of his favorite records, from ambient to jazz, from house to disco; a soothing flow from the Italian boy. A perfect start with the ambient version of 'Calinerie by Gorge Hewek & Izhevski', guarantees that this mix is nothing but smooth to the ears and mood.

Who is Berny?

BERNY (King Street Sounds // Nite Grooves // Zoo:Technique // Save Room Recordings) first came into the public domain with his smash hit 'Shplatten' in 2010 on Aenaria Recordings. The track rocked all Clubs and Festivals around the world thanks to the support of Richie Hawtin and Marco Carola and gived to BERNY a well deserved international reputation together with a long permanence on Beatport Top 20.

On 2011 BERNY signed important works like the 'Visit Brooklyn' Ep on Open Bar
Music and the brilliant 'Retro 01' Ep on Autan Recordings featuring a remix from Claudio Coccoluto, anticipating and experiencing between the firsts the so now fashionable Indie/Nu Disco Genre. In 2012 the debut on Kruse&Nuernberg's label Save Room Recordings with the sophisticated Ep 'Spots' together with Dave Mayer and Michelle Owen and the release of important remixes for Marshall Jefferson and Karol XVII &MB Valence. Early 2013 saw the debut of an important collaboration with Joy Kitikonti on the 'Big Bang' Ep and the one with Jazzloungerz and E-Man, remixing their superb track 'The One I Lost' . After this finally the first and long anticipated 12 tracks Lp 'Central Park' produced by Italians Deep House kings Harley&Muscle and supported by Jimpster, Larry Heard, Kyodai, Andre Lodemann, Mousse T ,Rainer Truby and many others; a European tour starting from Weekend Club in Berlin on April 2013 signed first part of the year touching Germany, Greece and Holland. Back in Studio after Summer 2013 Berny reached #5 on Traxsource Main Chart with his great remix of Soul Minority 'Down The Road', Top 100 on Beatport Tech House Chart with his track 'Quel Age' on prestigious Italian Label Zoo:Technique and also Top 30 on Beatport Indie Nu Dance Chart with his remix of 'Jazz Mind' for George Horn on Cromarti Records. In the beginning of 2014 Berny reached #3 on Traxsource House Chart with his remix of 'Qubiko,Fabio Ricciuti – Temptation' on Nite Grooves. Latest collaborations includes a remix for Cosmic Cowboys (Rotary Cocktail) and Giorgia Angiuli (Get Physical) for the track 'In The Dark' that reached #3 on Traxsource Tech House Chart and the remix for Oded Nir
on Suntree Recordings of the track 'Late Night Flight', positioned #1 on Traxsource Nu Disco/Indie Dance and #9 on Main Chart. Early 2015 releases are the elegant remixes for Sunshine Jones on King Street Sounds and the remix for Rosario Galati on Deep Deluxe Recordings, both tracks featured on Traxsource Hype Charts. Latest Berny's gigs included his 2014 Japan Tour with dates @ Womb and Origami in Tokyo , Moscow @ Shanti Club and Mad House Club in Riga, Lettonia; Early 2015 saw Berny's debut in Lyon, Tallin, Shanghai and Seoul and now he will spend most of Summer 2015 in Berlin with dates @ Trust Bar, Suss War Gestern and Suicide Circus but with an extra-date in Hong Kong late August. Some times the music just magically comes out, and that is the case here with "Syria" by new Sol*Selectas artist Unders from Amsterdam. After several successful tunes above the 120 BPM mark on labels like Sincopat and Groove On, "Syria" was Unders' first attempt at slower grooves, and an accidental experiment that just "fell into place, and was automatic magic". Syria's current political unrest is all over the news and social media, and the story being painted is difficult to watch. Driven to create a song which goes against all the negative publicity, Unders says "between all the negativity, the more i looked into the situation, the country, its people and its culture, the more this track reminded me of so much beauty the media doesn’t portray." The song itself a slow minimal trip with chopped up guitar licks, and a gorgeous flute sample that takes the listener to far off desert lands. Satori is yet another up and coming producer from the Netherlands, gaining instant recognition sharing the stage and studio with Acid Pauli, and producing incredible tunes utilizing live instruments played by himself, and tastefully incorporating these with electronic elements. His remix preserves the original message of "Syria" lowering the BPM to an even more hypnotic 104 BPMs. Satori adds middle eastern strings and chords, swapping out the original vocal for a more Saharan inspired call, and even plays delicately with some acid sounds furthering the listeners journey. 
Both songs are meant to invoke peaceful images of Syria, and conjure up positive intention on the dance floor. Sol*Selectas is very excited to present the debut song "Syria" from Unders, and the amazing remix by Satori, two artists from the Netherlands you would do well to keep your eyes and ears open to in 2016.

Chai Kowski has an Ukrainian ancestry hence his surname:  Tschaikowski. But he was born in Germany and producing music since 10-year-old. He has been  backpacking during two years. In that period had reserved a year to tour of the South America also Central America where he traveled to Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica & Nicaragua without time&plan&hurry. 
Since he's back in Germany he co-founded the https://soundcloud.com/conartism, a colletive  who come together to promote on a noncommercial level parties in the most craziest places under the open sky of Bremen, sometimes getting hunted from the police for it. It is a royal invitation to explore the urbanicity encompassed by music, where people can have fun, smile& experience unexploited sensations. Chai is also currently very excited about his first bookings for next summer festivals, gigs at Zurück Zu Den Wurzeln Festival and Zugvögel Festival.
This 29th edition was inspired by Chai's look-backing re-experience of his previous trip-trippy on South America. He remembered a lot of things which he almost had forgotten. He felt again the cold of the  Andes  biting his face in over 6000m &also heard the rain of the Amazon, recalled the dragging from Ayhuasca and  the blue&strong caribbean on his feet. Zone+ (Zeyad Mohsen) & Usif (Yousif Sanad) Dj's/ Producers from Bahrain. Both realized they have a common language "music" , after opening b2b for many well know artist, they decided to work together forming Zone+ & Usif. They released an Ep "Nomad" on Akumandra and 2 singles "Nubira" & "Sitar" with Talavera records.

In June they will have an EP coming out on Underyourskin Records featuring remixes by Canson & Monolink.

The latest Saved output comes from One Records co-owner and Berlin-based artist Subb-an.
For his release Subb-an presents "This Place", a record which is deep, groovy and is laced with a very catchy vocal. Finishing off the release is label boss, Nic Fanciulli who delivers his rendition on the flipside with a very cool sharp remix featuring several of the original parts as well as the vocals and works it to great effect.
An all round great package which will be dominating dancefloors to the close of the year and well into 2012.

An electronic music DJ, remixer, composer and producer.
Noted for his versatility and musical range, Philip attributes much of his influences to his Middle Eastern heritage and western upbringing. Known for his unmistakable sound, Philip's DJ sets and productions are rich with groovy hypnotic melodies and driving basslines. In his young years, Philip played percussion with his brother Julien and some high school mates, performing as musical act Elemental. Much of Philip's early nightlife experience began in the late 90s toward the end of high school, in Montreal at Sona and Redlite. Over the years, he began working more frequently in the studio on original productions and remixes, and further developed his audio engineering skills. A few of Philip's early studio mentors are Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Habersham, Max Graham, Darin Epsilon to name a few.
After finishing university, Philip moved to Miami in 2005 and after to relocated to Belgium and Holland. While staying in Europe, Philip promoted his sound at festivals like the Amsterdam Dance Event and Tomorrowland.
In 2012, Philip returned to Miami. While in Miami Philip had the opportunity to play in distinguished clubs like Vagabond and Nikki and enjoyed residencies at TSL Lounge, Treehouse, Do Not Sit on the Furniture, among others. Chedid performed with some of the world's most celebrated artists from all dance music genres, such as Nick Warren, Jody Wisternoff, Dave Seaman, Eelke Kleijn, Marc Marzenit, Guy Mantzur, Sahar Z, Darin Epsilon, Clarian, Einmusik, Omid 16B, SIS, Thomas Schumacher, Birds of Mind, Armen Miran, Bedouin, Vanilla Ace, H-Foundation, Jody Wisternoff, Danny Howells, Miyagi, Jozif, Of Norway, Mikey Lion, Tara Brooks, Flavio Navarro, Zach Walker, Jonathan Will, Derek Hena, Aninha, among others.
In the Spring of 2014, Philip released "Remaindermen" on Sound Avenue's "We are the Future" spring compilation. His Spring 2016 Bayti EP on Crossfade sounds received solid support and recommendations from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, among others. His 2016 collab with Darin Epsilon 'Endless Sands of Time' [Parquet] received stellar reviews by Deep House Amsterdam, among other noted publishers. Over the next couple years, the releases have been coming more anand in 2017 Philip formed the imprint Endless Sands of Time. Now residing in Los Angeles, Philip continues to work on his craft and is recognized as a up and coming artist with much potential in the scene.
