For me, love is the answer to so much. It connects me to wonderful places in my mind and in my heart. She's always inspired me deeply and it's what I connect with when I'm creating something new. Darin Epsilon is a well known Los Angeles based DJ and the mastermind behind Perspectives Digital . We find him in full form with his Miami friend Philip Chedid for a collab named “Endless Sands of Time” out soon on Parquet Recordings.

From Argentina to Kenya and the U.K, Darin delivers sharp Deep House and melodic Techno sets to his eager fans who always want more. Back in 2011, the Chicago native won a competition orchestrated by Beatport and mister John Digweed himself. Since then, Darin’s special skills as a producer put him to the top, with signings on Chapter 24, Global Underground, Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat and Microcastle.

Former Leiden, Holland resident Philip Chedid is an up and coming DJ now based in Forida, he is part of a new generation of artists hailing from the Wynwood area of Miami. His sets are a reflection of the “Burning Man” sound, in the festival’s best years, with a lot of acoustic elements.

The two are meeting on Solee’s imprint, Parquet Recordings, home of D-Nox & Beckers, Oliver Schories and Boss Axis. “Endless Sands of Time” sounds like a real collaboration featuring the mystical vibes of Darin and the Middle East influences of Philip. The song is no dance floor banger, but instead a spiritual poem with beautiful vocals and melodies.

“Endless Sands of Time” will drop on August 1st on Parquet Recordings.

"At the start of the month, this small label turned two years old. That doesn’t really mean anything in the grand scheme of things, but it has given me a chance to reflect on how the hell we’ve ended up here.

As a concept, Voyage existed for some time before we released the first record. I had a clear idea of the aesthetic it would take on, but it wasn’t until Sam/Sprinkles brought my ramblings about artwork, record sleeves and sci-fi to life that the label became something tangible, something real. Since then, Voyage seems to have evolved in parallel to my musical tastes and Sam’s visual interests as the records speak through their artwork more and more with each release.

This mix is loosely based on a narrative of the label and the past two years, featuring an upcoming EP by Youandewan, unheard Ausländer meanderings as well as a remix made especially for the mix by Urulu. I’ve also included some bits of my own that will see a release in some form on the label as well as a few things made this month to tie the whole mix together.

"Normally I know that high expectations kill the vibe, so I always try to walk my way open minded and don’t expect anything special from the future, but this time I couldn’t help it. When the Robot told me that she wanted me to play the sunrise set and that we will be connected with the Mayan Warrior soundsystem, I could feel it already in Berlin a full three weeks before… Then when I finally took the bus over to Robot Heart it was even better than in my craziest expectations. This gig was by far the most emotional gig I have ever played. All I can say is thank you, I am even more happy now to be born on this weird planet which can be really beautiful sometimes, when you give it  chance to be free. Thank you you for dancing with me and giving me so much Love. So here is my try to give something back.

The human body is the most highly engineered object in existence, a machine of uncountable parts and unfathomable function. Its workings have served as inspiration for all of humanity's greatest inventions. This work is an homage to the two most amazing mechanisms in that machine: the human eye and hand. The head is a 16 foot camera obscura demonstrating the ray optics principals underlying the spherical lensed eye humans posses and the hands are actuated mimicking the tendons and bones of the body. Together they represent what separates life from the rest of the universe, the ability to observe the world around us and manifest change in that world.

An electronic music DJ, remixer, composer and producer.
Noted for his versatility and musical range, Philip attributes much of his influences to his Middle Eastern heritage and western upbringing. Known for his unmistakable sound, Philip's DJ sets and productions are rich with groovy hypnotic melodies and driving basslines. In his young years, Philip played percussion with his brother Julien and some high school mates, performing as musical act Elemental. Much of Philip's early nightlife experience began in the late 90s toward the end of high school, in Montreal at Sona and Redlite. Over the years, he began working more frequently in the studio on original productions and remixes, and further developed his audio engineering skills. A few of Philip's early studio mentors are Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Habersham, Max Graham, Darin Epsilon to name a few.
After finishing university, Philip moved to Miami in 2005 and after to relocated to Belgium and Holland. While staying in Europe, Philip promoted his sound at festivals like the Amsterdam Dance Event and Tomorrowland.
In 2012, Philip returned to Miami. While in Miami Philip had the opportunity to play in distinguished clubs like Vagabond and Nikki and enjoyed residencies at TSL Lounge, Treehouse, Do Not Sit on the Furniture, among others. Chedid performed with some of the world's most celebrated artists from all dance music genres, such as Nick Warren, Jody Wisternoff, Dave Seaman, Eelke Kleijn, Marc Marzenit, Guy Mantzur, Sahar Z, Darin Epsilon, Clarian, Einmusik, Omid 16B, SIS, Thomas Schumacher, Birds of Mind, Armen Miran, Bedouin, Vanilla Ace, H-Foundation, Jody Wisternoff, Danny Howells, Miyagi, Jozif, Of Norway, Mikey Lion, Tara Brooks, Flavio Navarro, Zach Walker, Jonathan Will, Derek Hena, Aninha, among others.
In the Spring of 2014, Philip released "Remaindermen" on Sound Avenue's "We are the Future" spring compilation. His Spring 2016 Bayti EP on Crossfade sounds received solid support and recommendations from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, among others. His 2016 collab with Darin Epsilon 'Endless Sands of Time' [Parquet] received stellar reviews by Deep House Amsterdam, among other noted publishers. Over the next couple years, the releases have been coming more anand in 2017 Philip formed the imprint Endless Sands of Time. Now residing in Los Angeles, Philip continues to work on his craft and is recognized as a up and coming artist with much potential in the scene.
