The 1st night collaboration was done with the Amaya team for a welcome get together in a splendid colonial building.
2 nights with wonderful artists such as Ali Mae, Jenia Tarsol, Nico Stojan, Rovertzon, Lato, and Lovecraft - i hope you enjoy the ride. 1am to 4am high energy but still with a noticeable downtempo and melodic rhythms 🖤

From blue sea to blue eyes, over blue lights and blue skies. 
To aquamarines, where sirens called down deep inside - to deep blue sapphires, which empower creativity and calms your mind. 
The blue, that covers so many parts of mother's earth, so many blues, that shine out through yellow, orange and maybe sometimes opens up a bit of some truth(s). There’s never one truth. 
So what’s the fuss anyways?

Ask yourself. What’s your truth?

Shaun has been in love with progressive house music since the early 1990s. Having taken some time off during the 2000s to raise his family Shaun has since re-ignited his passion for hypnotic rhythms and enchanting melodies. In 2016 Shaun began curating his own deep progressive radio show: “Quarks & Quaaludes – an Epic House Journey” to showcase the music that he loves – deep melodic progressive vibes which move both the body and the soul. The radio show has provided an amazing opportunity to connect with like-minded up and coming artists in the industry - and has featured many top talents who have since gone on to achieve even greater heights. "Quarks & Quaaludes - an Epic House Journey" airs exclusively on Saturo Sounds radio every 4th Saturday of the month @ 7PM GMT.

Producers Shakib Jakir and Eric Shans team up for this Canopy exclusive mix which highlights tracks coming on the Canopy Sounds label over the remainder of 2020.

Shakib Jakir started his musical journey at a very young age. He grew up learning Indian classical music at the age of 4 playing harmony with his father. For years he played the bass, but his love for the melodic structures of deep house & techno drew him to produce his own crafted electronic creations. He learned production from some of his very close and talented friends, but his unique sound and production style came so naturally that he has since then taken his own path where he often blends beautiful strings, organic drums, and world sounds.

Eric met Shakib a few years back on Soundcloud of all places when Shakib heard some of Eric's productions. He has been making music for two decades that range from ambient, to synth driven house, and electronic pop, and everywhere in between, while also running his own labels.  The two have since built a lasting friendship which has since blossomed into a true production team. They've worked on many things over their time of knowing each other but now they've finally honed on a sound that truly works for both of them.

Shakib and Eric's mix demonstrates the Canopy motif which is memorable, soul enriching music that stems from the heart's core. 3 of their tracks, "Yuhi"(Sunset), "Empyrean", and "Ardour"  from their forthcoming Canopy EP "Ardour" can be heard on this exclusive mix. Their EP is set to be released in September.

An electronic music DJ, remixer, composer and producer.
Noted for his versatility and musical range, Philip attributes much of his influences to his Middle Eastern heritage and western upbringing. Known for his unmistakable sound, Philip's DJ sets and productions are rich with groovy hypnotic melodies and driving basslines. In his young years, Philip played percussion with his brother Julien and some high school mates, performing as musical act Elemental. Much of Philip's early nightlife experience began in the late 90s toward the end of high school, in Montreal at Sona and Redlite. Over the years, he began working more frequently in the studio on original productions and remixes, and further developed his audio engineering skills. A few of Philip's early studio mentors are Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Habersham, Max Graham, Darin Epsilon to name a few.
After finishing university, Philip moved to Miami in 2005 and after to relocated to Belgium and Holland. While staying in Europe, Philip promoted his sound at festivals like the Amsterdam Dance Event and Tomorrowland.
In 2012, Philip returned to Miami. While in Miami Philip had the opportunity to play in distinguished clubs like Vagabond and Nikki and enjoyed residencies at TSL Lounge, Treehouse, Do Not Sit on the Furniture, among others. Chedid performed with some of the world's most celebrated artists from all dance music genres, such as Nick Warren, Jody Wisternoff, Dave Seaman, Eelke Kleijn, Marc Marzenit, Guy Mantzur, Sahar Z, Darin Epsilon, Clarian, Einmusik, Omid 16B, SIS, Thomas Schumacher, Birds of Mind, Armen Miran, Bedouin, Vanilla Ace, H-Foundation, Jody Wisternoff, Danny Howells, Miyagi, Jozif, Of Norway, Mikey Lion, Tara Brooks, Flavio Navarro, Zach Walker, Jonathan Will, Derek Hena, Aninha, among others.
In the Spring of 2014, Philip released "Remaindermen" on Sound Avenue's "We are the Future" spring compilation. His Spring 2016 Bayti EP on Crossfade sounds received solid support and recommendations from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, among others. His 2016 collab with Darin Epsilon 'Endless Sands of Time' [Parquet] received stellar reviews by Deep House Amsterdam, among other noted publishers. Over the next couple years, the releases have been coming more anand in 2017 Philip formed the imprint Endless Sands of Time. Now residing in Los Angeles, Philip continues to work on his craft and is recognized as a up and coming artist with much potential in the scene.
