On our latest Silk Textures release, Fawn and Digital Sixable's soulful romantic ballad "Where Has Your Love Gone" has been given the deep-prog treatment by 3 of our imprint's finest talents: Blood Groove and Kikis, Espen, and Aleksey Beloozerov. Blood Groove and Kikis, the consistently superlative Latvian duo, serve up the first interpretation, centering a cavernous, "classic" deep house bassline. Their talent for rhythm is matched by their ability to weave gorgeous, crystalline melodies into their productions. The evocative melodic layers slowly crescendo until, finally, we are met by Fawn's cathartic, titular vocal hook. Espen is a celebrated house artist from Norway, who has remained active for nearly a decade. A much more moody and deep soundscape is created early, while an up-tempo groove keeps the track chugging along. Various vocal stabs puncture the melody, while delicate bell sounds also add textures to the late-night, lost-underground atmosphere. Finally, another accomplished veteran of house music, Aleksey Beloozerov, rounds out the package. His take is more downtempo than deep house, though a light rhythm offers groove elements in various sections of the arrangement. Mainly, this inspired, soulful take allows Fawn's contemplative, achingly beautiful vocals to really shine. Subtle acoustic instrumentation offers a suitably delicate backdrop to the touching lyrics.

This mix bears nearly three hours of winding explorations as James DJed for a lounge of interlocking bodies: 
–drifters in obscure motion and silent during a non-verbal hour.

There were paper and pens, so people wrote and drew to each other instead of talking. They would also mime, or speak with the body.

For December's event at Limehouse Town Hall, James will bring a fascinating set of ambients for dream or dance.

Championing a new wave of emerging talent, Reflections presents the seventh instalment of their various artist EP series on the label.

Egyptian-born producer and environmental scientist, Nourey makes her debut on the label with a stunning neo-classical composition ’To Where Dreams Are’, which features a lullaby of mellow horns, piano and enchanting strings. Followed up by Glaswegian composer-producer Turtle, and his dreamy production ‘Falls Of Avich’ that intertwines ambient synths and gentle piano motifs.

Balearic legend Steve Miller aka Afterlife, presents the third track on the EP. Known for his iconic chill out sets in Ibiza since the early 90s, Miller has been a prominent figure in the electronic music scene, contributing to numerous Café Del Mar compilations as well as a sought after remixer working with the likes of Sinead O’Connor, Roger Sanchez and Lana Del Rey. Here he delivers a fine tuned atmospheric, meditative composition ‘Wide Awake’. 

Next up on the EP is a debut from Scottish producer and composer Faodail, meaning ‘a lucky find’ in Gaelic, who weaves soft percussive elements with melodic synths on his new track ‘Entangled’. Closing the project is Tokyo-based sound artist Yui Onodera with ‘IZUMO', a soothing composition of electro-acoustic elements and field recordings that create a delicate soundscape.

Bruno is an Argentinian classically trained musician, producer, and composer based in Barcelona who writes for strings, piano, and electronics. His Piano Textures series, started in 2007, is one of Sanfilippo’s most representative set of recordings, but he has also gained wider recognition in modern music – one of his piano compositions formed the basis for Canadian rapper Drake’s seminal hit, ‘Started From The Bottom’.
