Having established a reputation for discovering new talent, it's not often that we get to collaborate with other artists and labels. Chapter 2 allows us the opportunity to reach beyond our own circle of emerging artists and work with exclusive material from others who have been getting us very excited recently.

As with Chapter 1, you will find no B-sides here!

Optimo Music's Golden Teacher is the best band to come from Glasgow in years! We've played host to their outstanding live shows on several occasions and continue to be impressed by their ability to weave their influences to form a unique sound of their own.

Usio's debut album last year on the stupendous Studio Barnhus label will remain a classic for many years to come. Made up of beautifully varied and consistent compositions, they have more on the way. We suggest keeping a watchful eye on them.

Linking us not only with the excellent Themes For Great Cities, but also our home from home, Salon des Amateurs in Dusseldorf, is resident Jan Shulte who presents probably our funkiest record yet under his Wolf Müller alias.

We enjoyed a particularly great year in Glasgow when the talented Oklo Gabon also lived there. Now back in his native Gothenburg, we were recently happy to discover that he's been proactive in the studio. Sometimes associated with the Discos Capablanca label, we're sure there will be more on the way under various new guises.

It's no secret that Cómeme are a source of inspiration around these parts. Sano is just one of many great artists who form the label and we're really chuffed to be able to include this demented delight which we first heard back on a Lena Willikens mix a few years ago.

Whilst the artists themselves are incredible, this release pays tribute to the labels they are typically found on and we suggest doing some more research if you like what you hear.

When i was around 6 my favorite show in Germany was Sesamstrasse. It was a German adaptation of the American Sesame Street. I was really crazy about the show, and I used to always watch it at my Grandparents in Germany.

The intro song was very dear to me. The lyrics went Der Die Das, Wie Weshalb Warum. Which ruffly translates to He She It, How, For what reason, Why.

The intro song spawned this Childish Curiosity in me. I had to explore everything around me. I would bang on lids in the kitchen to hear what they sounded like.

It was this song that made we want to make sounds with different objects, and experiment with early rythms. From this moment on i was engulfed in anything that made a sound.

​About a year ago we had Clouded Vision boss Matt Walsh go In Session for us. What he delivered was an hour of wriggly and writhing techno cuts, with Locked Groove, Daniel Avery and Ripperton all included. 

The mix itself was in a similar vein to the Bugged Out! associate's own tracks and remixes, whether it's 2010's 'Honey Comb' on Wax:On Music or his rejig of Daniel Avery's 'Free Floating'.

As we seek to find new ways to worship our glorious binarian leaders, the very best thing we can do is throw ourselves head-first into the machines and see what we can make of all their fancy features. PREMIERE: The Emperor Machine - Sisco Seeker (Nein Records)

The latest offering from Belfast-raised London based boys Bicep comes in the form of the Dahlia EP. Returning home to their Feel My Bicep imprint, the Dahlia EP is a masterful follow on from their anthem on AUS Music, Just. i-D exclusively bring you the second track off the EP with Rays. Being inspired by some of the lads early morning sets at Panorama Bar, the track is another punchy number with the tumbling bass line building through vocal chops into a deep minor-key 2nd drop. Another Bicep delight set to do definite damage to dance floors both day and night.

FEEL WHAT IT IS

youANDme is acclaimed collaborative project between Berlin based pair Martin and Daniel. They make raw, emotive underground sounds and Martin recently turned out a well received full length album on Ornaments that explored far and wide. They did official works for artists like Moodymann, Radio Slave, Seth Troxler, Lawrence and many others. They also run Rotary Cocktail and 3 other mysterious labels.

Take Away was written in summer 2014 with vocalist Black Soda from South Africa.
The track is made from various hardware synth, and is filled with feeling. It is built on a bed of pinging drums and coarse claps, but the heaviness lifts with the arrival of Black Sodas breezy, spoken word vocals and some colourful xylophone like melodies. Its a proper underground anthem in the making, frankly.

Then comes Loco Dice with his version. It is chunky, with grainy, sheet metal claps, twisted vocals and skewed synths that all make it robust and masculine. Sure to be massive when dropped in the right club, it is a fine bit of work from the boss.

Pablo Bolivar then steps up to remix and flips the track into a more uptempo, gliding house cut with starry melodic patterns, punchy drums and filtered vox. It builds and builds to a peak and then implodes under emotive arps that are dotted left, right and centre, no doubt owning floors in the process.

Mysterious Back To The Void takes the original into the proper dub techno dungeon. Last but not least there is Instrumental Version.
