In the Mouth of Madness

This original song commemorates the tragic 1940 Rhythm Club fire in Natchez MS which claimed the lives of more than 200 individuals including Walter Barnes and most of his Royal Creolians orchestra.  The club owner had boarded up the club's windows and exits to thwart gate-crashers, with the result that many people could not escape when the fire broke out.
