I’m Kai. A musician.

A classically-raised musician who picked up jazz piano and improvisation somewhere along his career. 
On July 29th, I decided that I will improvise a song and post it here every day until I either run out of ideas or the chaos of daily life consumes me. I can’t guarantee post-product on everything, since my first priority is to record and upload. I can’t guarantee that nothing will just be recorded on my phone on a crappy upright piano, because sometimes I have no other options. Nonetheless, I hope you stick with me on this journey and witness my artistic growth(hopefully).

My improvs are a combination of the following:
- how I feel that day
- requests/prompts my friends give me
- me trying out new improvisation grooves that I don't do often
- harmonic/stylistic exploration
- most importantly, escaping my comfort zone.
